Glad to hear it. I won't buy it, but there needs to be an ifold for foldables to go mainstream. If the rumors I've read about Samsung's updated UTG for the Z6 are true, by 2026 durability won't be as much of an issue.
I've also been curious about who would be first to use LG's real folding window.

I don't think it's true for a reason: Apple money going for XR industry, and Vision Pro is the starting point.... And I think for once since iPhone and iPad, Apple actually made the right choice than going foldable phones....
The reason to have foldable phones in first place is to have bigger screen, in reality you get only 30% bigger screen with lots of compromises, but AR glasses gives you 20-30 times bigger than that while not compromising your phone by any means, AR glasses by far is the future, infact I expect around 2030 they will replace mobile phones for good, Qualcomm already making impressive chips for these and 2nm AR chip coming next year

Been calling it for a while that when Apple does a foldable, it would be an iPad or a Mac first, not an iPhone.

Merging OSes into one has been tried and failed many times. Websites are responsive for the reason to offer the best user experience on different form factors. And something like stage manger would not work on an iPhone, just like the iPhone‘s way of widgets on the Lock Screen would not fully utilize the space of the iPad‘s landscape lock screen

Before that, iPads ran iOS 12. What will very likely happen is that the outside screen will run iOS and the inside screen will run iPadOS, but because they are the same anyway, it will just be a different UI for the same data.

Hopefully iOS and iPadOS merge, where iOS gets iPadOS' features. Seeing as Apple is involved here, they should also force all apps on the Apple App Store to work on tablets intuitively and have design rules in place to show how it's done. I hate Apple being dictatorial, but for once, this would work. An Apple foldable will not work unless iOS and iPadOS merge again, and all apps must have perfect support for foldables and tablets for this to work.

The ironic thing about this is that when Apple launches a sticker everyone will want one... then the era of stickers will begin hahaha while on Android manufacturers have been launching it for years and no one cares, it is still a niche market...
