One of the best mobile huawei but not available in India. I used p20 4g have need 5g mobile but not available in India or any business apps just like amazon and filipcart

ReaLogic, 10 Feb 2024But you do realize that the former worker at CNBC is 1. Wes... moreI agree on some of your points. Here is my take, I did not say that Huawei was on the Top 5, but I said that Huawei's top markets are SEA, South Africa and the Latin America. But I agree with you that even thou these are Huawei's top market, it doesn't necessarily mean that they are on the top 5 and I agree to the fact that their smartphone sales are still slump.

Second about Uptin, maybe it is anecdotal but as I said, his reference was in the year 2022, a lot can happen in more than a year. But, yeah I can agree that is anecdotal since maybe that is just a complement.

Also in SEA, I also did not said that Huawei is the top 5 smartphone seller here but I said that they are still building new stores and service centers to accommodate phones, that is why I am baffled when you bring up that Huawei is not on the Top 5 because I never said that, all I said is that Huawei's top markets are "these" countries but they are not necessarily selling hotcakes there. But I have to agree that Huawei will not be able to reach Top 5 soon as their Chipsets are still underperforming most other flagship chipsets these days and their phones are expensive to say the least, but they can still sell outside China.

PS. I am actually shock to see Huawei performing well on South Africa

Guest whooooo, 08 Feb 2024Nope, I am literally not a Chinese person. But if you find ... moreBut you do realize that the former worker at CNBC is 1. Western news that you diss on 2. Mainly anecdotal.
Your friend in South East Asia is anecdotal.
Xiaomi with the help of yougov did a survey in Southeast Asia (I've posted in previous comment) and the data is similar to those "western" news you diss on.
Huawei isn't even in top 5 and is grouped into other.
Maybe, if your group of friends are ethnic Chinese, you'll think Huawei is large in SEA. However surveys after surveys and even surveys done by Chinese company shows it's not true. AFAIK Huawei still has not broken into top 5 for the past ~5 years after dropping down in position.

Even the CCP propoganda news department uses canalys (they have a branch in China) surveys for LATAM
      https://global.chinadaily.com.cn/a/202204/09/WS6250edd7a310fd2b29e55f53.html

A recent Canalys LATAM survey shows Huawei is not top 5 in LATAM either.
      https://www.canalys.com/newsroom/latam-smartphone-market-q2-2023

Maybe in future they might be in top 5 again, but current surveys don't show that. At least in these two regions.

But when you start to game, it's sure not going to be on par with those two...

But if you find my information and opinions incorrect, then you could just corrected me. But since you ask, I can show you some proof of what I am saying, I can present you some.

          - that video leads to a former CNBC employee named Uptin on his youtube channel, he said that in 2022, Huawei was the leading smartphone maker in Latin America, but that was in 2022, a lot can happen in more than a year

and that you asked, in my friend's country located in South East Asia, Huawei is still a forced to be reckoned with, Huawei still have a huge fanbase there, but I cannot make a "whole south east asia" comment when I am only using a single country as evidence. I can also tell you, from the country I live in, Huawei is opening new experience stores and other, they are opening new Service centers to service phones, Huawei really didn't close any store in my country since the ban started in 2020.

In the European market, I can tell that Huawei is really struggling in that market, Geopolitics, taxes and others are what leading people to avoid Huawei, but the price and the Google issue is probably the biggest issue why Huawei is not selling that much in Europe.

          https://mybroadband.co.za
          - according to that site about the south african phone market, Huawei holds the third spot in south african phone market share but overall, Huawei is next to samsung.

The reason why I flood the comment section with comments is that, I am responding to different opinions.

About my comment on Huawei's Google issue, there are a lot of work arounds that can be done. I am talking of course about GBOX and GSPACE, but I am using the aurora store with the help of micro G services, but it is probably applicable to EMUI version 13.1, I am currently using it on my Huawei P60 Pro. But of course, since I use the app, I can tell that it still have some problems that can be resolved when you have a proper native GMS that includes the Google pay. But at least it works.

Xiaomi sponsored yougov to do a survey and Huawei isn't even in top 5 in South East Asia, the share is so little it's just lump together with Others..
            Same situation in South America.

Bruno59, 06 Feb 2024Without Google it will be limited in it's usefulness! 🤔Their are many workarounds but not everyone would do that specially if you are an average person. But there are still many problems with this workarounds, one of them is Google Pay, not Google play but Google pay. Some games do not have any other options on buying paid credits from them so Google pay is the only choice and without a native GMS, google pay is non - existant. But that is one of the very few problems with Huawei this days.

JayRoar, 05 Feb 2024Im from asia, they dont havetheir own store here but distri... moreIn, my country Huawei stores are still expanding. New Huawei experience stores, new Huawei service centers and new Huawei physical stores are being stablished. The funny thing about this is that in a particular mall their is a Huawei store next to an Apple store and in front of them is a Samsung store......

Anonymous, 05 Feb 2024Nova are worse midranges than midranges from oppo reno seri... moreChinese oppo reno series are semi - flagship devices, but when distributed globally they become overpriced craps, Huawei nova series are average but the Nova pro ones are not, very overpriced indeed. Mi note series are also considered as semi flagships but when it comes to quality, xiaomi is not the right choice. They have deadboot issues probably due to motherboard issues. If Samsung have greenline issues, Xiaomi have motherboard issues. So if I will pick a midrange phone, I will pick the Nova Series without the pro on them, good quality both on the phone and on the camera.

Anonymous, 05 Feb 2024Dear employee you will buy Huawei or you will be fired.Huawei has stablished a significant brand loyalty over the years even before the US decides that Apple couldn't compete with the Chinese tech giant. There are many people that is using Huawei phones in 2020, back when google alternatives are still scarce. People also bought a phone with a native google installed and uses Huawei as their camera phone due to how impressive their cameras are. So probably people just chose to support Huawei as the Chinese despise how American try to homogenize Apple, plus the CCP is encouraging people to buy home based brands like BBKs, Xioamis, Transsicions, Huawei and Honor. Honor is the one that is leading the Chinese Market as of 2023 December, unless you learned that comment from an American Bias channel, that doesn't count.

When the revelation was out last year that Kirin 9000S was indeed a 7nm chip manufactured by SMIC with older DUV technology, speculations abounded that the yield could not have been higher than 50%, 20%, 15%. etc. That this report points that 9000S is in fact the driver behind Huawei's latest sales number suggests that yield is not an issue.

HarmonyOS NEXT is gonna make things super interesting. Really excited for this yeat

If I wasn't tied to Apple so much with their ecosystem. I think I would buy almost any smartphone then a iPhone now. I can understand why Apple is losing sales in China and would not be surprised if in other countries too. Definitely the Pro series is not worth the investment.
