    Sanctions are unlikely to change, because US abhors competition and want Apple-Google spying monopoly to stay that way: a monopoly.

    Here's hoping China can slowly catch up on chip design and manufacturing.

    Again, competition is always good for the consumer.

      Anonymous, 05 Feb 2024By using aosp to create " new OS" ? 😂😂😂😂😂Not about OS - Android is trivial to fork and HarmonyOS has it's own GMS alternative It's about hardware. Huawei hardware was superior and Huawei was the biggest mobile phone manufacturer when USA decided to destroy them.

      Here's hoping they can get access to components again (China or elsewhere) and come back building world class hardware.

      HarmonyOS is good enough for 50% of the consumers. People who are too tied and enslaved to Apple or Google ecosystems will keep using their phones.

            Huawei will not be able to sell its phones in any country except China.

              Here's hoping Huawei can navigate all the US based sanctions and make a comeback, even if only in Asia. The world needs more competition and a big enough alternative to the Apple-Google controlling everything.

Prices skyrocketed without providing anything new to justify it. no new innovations nothing...they just change camera lenses add/remove sims add/remove ram/hdd and nothing else. And this is because of apple and samsung monopoly. S24 has nothing special or more than S23 apart from new camera on ultra version. Yet has higher price and people bought it from day1

                    Nova are worse midranges than midranges from oppo reno series, mi crapmi note, mi T , vivo V and oneplus nord.
                    Still looks like ppl easily pay $500-600 on them.
