Samsung is working on a camera update for the Galaxy S24

Some users have reported less than stellar results coming from their cameras.

I switched from a Pixel 6 Pro to a Samsung S24 Ultra, and there is a BIG difference in photos from each device, so much so, that I carry my P6P if I am going to be shooting with less than ideal lighting (i.e. the sun). My granddaughter is blurry with EVERY photo I take with my S24U that is not in sunlight, unless she is still. Same light, same movement, and my P6P takes perfect photos, no blur. She is less than 2 years old; she is only still when she is sleeping. A simple google search and you can see this has been an ongoing problem in many Samsung devices. A friend bought an S24U, and same problem.

    OneUI for example, has quite a bit of changes throughout the years. The most recent 6/6.1 was terrible in a number of ways, but had been amazing before that. Very noticable changes with each iteration.

        As always, samsung need sth to justify their mediocre camera performance.. like do you really notice any improvement in their software upgrade for their previous flagships lol

          Strange, the quotation from the Samsung camera *does not* say they are working on an update. Only that they are routinely monitoring images from users and will react to any problems they observe.

          The writer of this piece needs to read it again.

                I bought s21 ultra pre order..to my shock those some units (incl. My friends) had worst camera performance. Software patch fixed mine after 6 months but friends it didnt work out. Luckily i exchanged for 23 ultra but my friend went for iphone.. so those who buy early always suffers.very few raise complaints. Anyway without 10x zoom. They dont worth so mucj money than vivo x100 pro or alikes... so heavy price not justified except for spen.

                  Same camera for S22, S23, S24 and probably also for S25 according to some rumours...and they still cannot fix it ? They should have changed it years ago...Samsung should stlck to washing machines.

Actually my mates find x2 pro was close to my p40 pro in main cam quality and its 10 bit screen sometimes looked better with pictures on the screen.

                    My mates pixel 7 also doesnt produce better quality pics and doesnt perform any better in low light (im not going to lie, other phones do take better quality pics but i could use this for another 2-3 years and not be bothered).

                    My mate with an iphone 12 actually gets me to take pictures of anything hes so impressed with my phones cam quality (plus i have google one so get the full pixel photography editing suite if i so wish). My exs iphone 13 again is overall worse quality and no telephoto.

Some people will stick to a brand if they are happy with it. There are plenty of people that just don't want the hassle of switching to a different brand and getting used to a new skin. Based on the comments on their top 5 phones, even some of the reviewers here on gsmarena seem reluctant to try different Android skins outside the usual Samsung, Xiaomi or maybe Oneplus skin/OS e.g. fun touch os or origin os. Usually you have to try a different skin/OS you are not familiar with for a substantial amount of time to get used to it and lots of people are not willing to do that even if a phone is very good and offers very good value
