For sure aluminum. It absorbs the impact greater than titanium.

Tyas2012, 11 Feb 2024Plastic. Try to change my mindI think if you always use a case it doesn't matter too much if it's plastic but it is much worse for wear and tear if you don't use a case. Also doesn't feel as nice in hand but maybe that one is subjective

Heat dissipation should be one of the concerns too...

I put a case on all my phones so material doesn't really matter much to me

SS is the best! My iPhone 12 Pro Max and Note 20 Ultra were very durable. I have 24 Ultra which looks proper on hand and with case it looks fine. My family has a iPhone 15 Pro Max as well but the perceived weight difference is negligible while holding it. Aluminium was good but titanium is best suited for Smart watches than mobiles.

Aluminum, premium feel on the cheap, it's also very nice to hold when the phone is cool. Phones that use this are now rare and the back is all covered with glass.

Aluminum is the most lightweight of the commonly used metals on phones and doesn’t crack/trap heat/scratch/pollute the environment like plastic. The others are heavier and to be honest, titanium doesn’t even look all that good compared to stainless steel and aluminum. And for drop resistance: any sane person uses a case anyway. All of them would get ugly after dropped onto asphalt.
