This is great news to all consumers. You know Intel are CPU king in PC/Mac system for very long time.

Think all consumers around the world has been waited for too long for Intel CPU to come into Android phones and tablets.

ARM architecture CPU are good only for low power consumption, but at the same time are equal to low performance given the same clock CPU speed when compare to Intel. Qualcomm self-tweak ARM-CPU especially low performance and buggy, when compare to Samsung Exynos CPU.

if it uses less power than ARM, runs faster than ARM and costs less than ARM then perhaps.

Anonymous, 04 Jun 2013and you have numbers to back this up ? The first mobile x8... morenumbers of apps working, update dates? Google makes the arm Android. The x86 is Intel's port. Just try using it on Razr i for example. Popular apps are not working, its very buggy and you rely on Google, Intel and then Motorola to get an update. Androids future is ARM.

The first mobile x86 offering was a dual core. Now it's quad core and in 22nm. I think arm is feeling the heat.

The earlier GSMarena article for this SOC and its Intel source were claiming it would bring tablet prices down, and to expect them at the $200 mark for smaller sized Windows Pro tabs.
