    This is standard from Oneplus lately, they did almost the same for all phones, they change the specs silently after weeks of release, did the same on the nord3 camera specs.

    Never gonna buy Oneplus. Simple.

            Even for average consumers, UFS 2.1/2.2 is still overkill for everyday use. The only reason you need UFS 3/4 is because you heavily use the phone as a productivity machine, particularly Desktop Mode. Anybody who use it, alongside custom solutions like Samsung DeX, Huawei EMUI Desktop, Honor Magic Desktop, LG Screen+, and Motorola Ready For, will make good use of UFS 3/4, especially when it comes to post-production video rendering.

                  TÜV Süd gradually becoming meme material these days - every time they hand out their "x month fluency" "certificate" (for devices which are a couple of weeks old).

                  You can not even find ANY info about this (pay-to-play?) scheme on their website.

                    We all should Sue file case against them 1st they mentioned usf 4 on their website for 256gb OnePlus 12r and esim support for OnePlus 12 then suddenly they removed esim support for OnePlus 12 and and usf 3.1 for OnePlus 12r. Didn't expect this from company like OnePlus (bbk)

                      OnePlus 12R on a flagship ones got cheapen out to UFS 3.1 hardware gets quite lowering quite a bit the storage performance.

                      I've seen quite a bad change of OnePlus on the flagship ones, as well as the realme phones on the budget category gets changed this year.

                              Oneplus probably got a bunch of last gen components at clearance discounts which explains why they can sell at lower prices. While there's nothing wrong with that, it should not be positioned as a flagship or flagship killer in the first place.
