Well the EU price will be a joke as every year.
But the price within China is quite reasonable.
900€ (512GB) for a a brand new super high-end phone! There is no alternative at this price rangen.

I get €2400 after tax in Germany which isn’t considered as high.
In western and Northern Europe everyone gets over €1500.

Anyways I’m currently staying in Asia and maybe I should grab the phone in China as the price is WAY lower. I wouldn’t pay the 1500€ or more for a Xiaomi phone.

        So expensive!!!!!

Can’t wait. Really looking forward to an alternative to the sucky battery life I have experienced on Samsung and Pixel phones.

Even at €800 the 14 would've been DOA to me, let alone at €1100...
When the 14 was announced, the news said Xiaomi made a HQ high-specs compact flagship killer that will be way cheaper than the 13. I saw the €520 price in CN and thought it'll be €600-€700 in EU, a price that would've meant I finally have an option to replace my 5 year old P30 as nothing else came even remotely close to being a worthy replacement for this tiny masterpiece I have.
Well... I can forget about the 14. I was very curious to hear how many years of security updates X promises but now... ugh, such a disappointment. The mobile phone landscape is miserable. Nothing but overpriced products.

A lot of people buy their up to ~500 euro phones here, but the moment you go above that almost anybody would get a Samsung or iPhone instead for many reasons.

So Xiaomi is more seen as a budget/mid range brand here, very popular, but only to a certain degree.

So no, Xiaomi is trying to be "the next Samsung and Apple", with the difference being that Samsung gives ridiculous sales at start.

And even now most of the S24 series are already 100 euro cheaper than at launch without sales, and S24U even 150 euro less without sales.

I don't like none of these 3 companies, but let's be honest that Xiaomi is overcharging because they think "europeans will pay anyhow".

What Xiaomi is forgetting that while they are very popular in multiple EU countries, that does not apply to their premium devices.
