And the 128 Gb model is a joke, even with the low ram, that's for sure. But then again, considering this 14 Pro is sold at least 300 more ... That's the price of another device in mid ranger! 🤯

You don't think that Xiaomi is selling this overpriced ? 600-800 in China and more than double eslewhere ? REALLY ? Open your eyes ...

This device looks massively more interesting than the Galaxy S24 Ultra, such a shame that it won't be as popular.

People still love giving Samsung their money even though they don't even get a charger or a case in return.

                Such fools!

The 13 ultra had abundant supply in China and they reduced the price to try and offload the extra stock which can't be sold at full price. The Xiaomi 13 pro stopped production a long time ago so whatever is left globally is from old stock that hasn't been sold. Before that it was never out of stock but it has been of the market in China for quite a while. They can make plenty more than they need for their flagships. Currently, Huawei is the only manufacturer with supply issues for their flagships in China. They have a massive shortage of Kirin processors and cannot meet demand

The 13 pro is 899 (255/12) now. The 13 ultra was for a very short time available in Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands. Now they launch only two models in one version, normal 3 versions ( brecause most people buy the middle one in gereral, might matter less with phones though). I'm thinking Xiaomi has supply problems for their hight end phones

                          dcdev, 14 Feb 2024But they're better 😂Objectively

It depends what a user wants from their phones.

                          Ever phone has issues

                          And no phone is perfect

So it doesn't make any sense to claim "what is better" because the answer is "none of them"

People calling this reasonable are weird. I just bought my s24 ultra for 823 euro in the Netherlands. People dont realize how nice the early bird and pre order discounts are. Nobody except 4 people are buying a xiaomi for 1500 euro, come on now. Miui or hyperos is acceptable on a midranger but not on s ultra phone. Im a xiaomi fan, had them all from mi 10 pro to 12s ultra, to poco f1. But their pricing in Europe is insane. Their cfo Europe needs to be fired.

There is no customs/excise duty on smartphones from China in the EU at all. VAT Is the only tax. All Smartphones are duty free when imported from China and other countries to the EU so your point here is incorrect

                                      Wow!!
Never imagine ever that someday Samsung and iPhone would be cheaper than Xiaomi...
                                      Crazy times

If Xiaomi really nails it with the companion camera sensors (so the ultrawide and the two teles), I would legit buy one.

Also for those wondering about the prices. It's not just the added VAT but also the massive duty taxes when bringing the phones from China to Europe. Still it's cheaper than the equivalent S24U with 512GB of storage.
