I can understand that you jealousy of Samsung success but there's no need to make this kind of accusation. Sony is not yours or any other mobile phone companies. If one does made it good, just use it! there are many different kind of devices out there, pick one that suit you best!

S4 is still picked by the most users. HTC One is a failure, except for it visual design, but still fragile and underpowered in terms of camera and storage. Xperia Z is nice, but the price....

This looks awful! Sony Xperia Z, ZR, V... they all look sexy you dont even have an idea they were shockproof waterproof and dustproof. LEARN FROM SONY. THEY MAKE THE BEST WATERPROOFS!

Far better than xperia z, xperia z has old hardware and the UI is very laggy with rubbish tft screen, Samsung had waterproof phones way before so STFU! This is a metal body phone! can't wait to get my hands on this, and yeah goodluck with updates on xperia z lol!

Anywhere the Xperia Z cost 650,- euros while SGS4 cost almost the same price tag. Sony gave a advice price between 480,- a 525,- and not 650,- Samsung play a dirty game.

As i see Samsung came with IP67 rather then xperia z that has IP57. That is a good improvement and the look in my opinion is more durable(tough).

For those who keep saying Samsung copied Sony, here are list of Samsung Water resistant models : Galaxy Xtreme S5690, Samsung B2710, GT B2100 XPLORER. Now who copied who?

So its bigger and heavier than Xperia Z, but they still couldnt manage to squeeze a 13mp cam and they had to compromise with a 8mp...
Apart from the waterprrof and dustproof abilities, they missed a very important facor that make the XZ so desired, the premioum looks/feel (due to glass effect and thinness).
Active seems so much less premioum than S4 itself...

For S4active the 6 in ip67 is for dust. Better at keeping out dust that's all. xzr however has a rating of 8 for water. it can go up to 1.5m as opposed to 7. Though be careful when you see the number 8. Anything that is water resistant beyond 1m for 30min gets an 8 rating. so even if it is 1.1m it is still an 8. xzr rating is ip58. first number is for dust resistance, second number indicates water resistance.

You missed out that Samsung made with removable battery and more rugged than XperiaZ. I think, Samsung can go deeper and stay longer underwater than XperiaZ, while XperiaZ meant to as a back up function just in case you dropped your phone into the water.

Samsung must have felt the heat of Xperia Z and hence has released this waterproof variant of Galaxy S IV to close the gap. Not exactly as striking as Xperia Z in terms of looks, a decent phone nevertheless.

Sony is known for water resistant products, I remember my water resistant walkman in 90s...
Not just that, Samsung failed in terms of thickness, xperia z is just 7.9 and xperia tablet z is 6.9 and both are water resistant...
