I'm sure most people here has used AI (at least in its primitive form) at some point, but when someone mentions AI, I tend to associate it with generative AI (and the videos and images). From my perspective, I hate the way it's been going, simply because I am an artist.
Sure, it might be convenient as a "tool" (my use case of AI is with quick-and-dirty translations). Sure, I can use it to "generate inspirations" or just straight up generate images that I'm too lazy to draw myself (which I am). But honestly it doesn't feel like I've made this "piece" myself.

Hate how AI is the new buzzword, we've been using AI for years. Google assistant, bixby, siri, cortana etc are all AI, as are sooo many other things. These new features are just newer things AI can do and don't really make a difference.

DeepIn2U, 18 Feb 2024Funny article it kinda reads backwards from toptobottom in ... morei respect you for using AI properly to research stuff. others use AI for generating images and art is something else, they are janky and unrealistic. you wouldn't wanna see 7 or more fingers when it's being generated. same for video, imagine being that lazy to edit. either they suck at them.

I use it mostly for searches. But I use different language than in the search engine. I ask in a more human manner, more than once if necessary till I get the precise result I need.

AI is for lazy ass people and people who are "don't know how to do" with something. Instead of learning the thing he/she wants to do. He/she used AI to do it. This type of people are what I called "lazy + stupid to the max level" 🤦🏻♂️
On the other hand, AI can be useful for like searching for ET, exo planets, medical (finding cure for diseases) and etc. But, AI is not useful for creativity. Like Arts, photography, video or anything that needs creativity. Why? Because AI don't have a soul like us human. Think about it.

I've used it carefully and it works great. I've used it to troubleshoot tech problems, translation work, explaining lengthy concepts, and generating images. Yes there are drawbacks but it's saved me hours worth of work. I think everyone ought to familiarize themselves with it, not because it's a good device but so you can get good enough to spot when you're talking to a human or a bot. From now on that is a necessary skill on the Internet.

I avoid it like the plague. I find it extremely disturbing to "communicate" with machines. And I certainly don't appreciate anything thinking for myself.

Two points:
1. I use ChatGPT daily to debug my code, as it's great for doing that or generating small code snippets.
2. Nvidia is unstoppable and I regret not investing in them for the 462936th time. They are the ones actually profiting off this insane craze for "AI" over the past year. But have they peaked?

Do I use AI?
No, no need for it and I always turn stuff I don't need off on my phone.
I am not against tech, but while AI is more useful than Voice Assistants, for me they are all just as useful = I don't use or need them.

"As an AI, I don't use other AI systems myself, but I can provide information and assistance to users like you. Many people use AI for various purposes, such as voice assistants, recommendation systems, data analysis, natural language processing, image recognition, and more."

Hardware Hypervisor, 18 Feb 2024Apple's Metal FX is a shameless ripoff of FSR. It ... moreAlso, guess you don’t know what a fork is. It‘s common in open source. That‘s like saying every Linux distro is a copy of Linux. And do you know how many browsers use WebKit? Like on game consoles from Nintendo/Sony for example, like the Nintendo Switch or PlayStation 4/5. Well you probably don’t because you classify a fork as a „copy“. I guess you use Chrome with Google‘s Blink engine on your devices. Yeah that is a fork of WebKit as well. And according to your logic, that means it is a „copy“. Copying usually involves theft of intellectual property. But you can’t steal something that is free to use by everyone anyway.
