Someone from EU, 19 Feb 2024This is stupid interpretation of what is happening. Apple ... moreand you're stupid believing apple is guilty already without proving it yet. Some tech industries could not compete -- and they cry when someone like apple achieve what they couldn't achieve.. and there they are accusing apple... and the government will use its power to make some money from these tech industries. If your government is brave enough, then ban apple in your country.. I bet they can't.. you know why? Oh, of course, you know the answer -- you're intelligent, right? LOL

potato4k, 20 Feb 2024Not defending Apple at all, but calling a spade a spade. Sp... moreHow so? Not to mention market reach is incredibly important in that argument. Other competitors can rise to create similar services to Spotify without being hamstrung by the market. Apple literally controlling the market they also provide the music service for so they can market and push their own brand preferentially (vested interests) as well as not having to pay their own royalties etc. means there is a lot of anti competitive and unfair advantage in Apple having their cake and eating it too.
How can you fairly compete with another company when they own the market, charge you to be there, don't charge themselves, can choose to promote themselves more and can see every change you're making ahead of time because you have to inform them and let them review your service?

Hard truths:-
1. Ultmately, its a charge on Apple users. Be ready for more expensive products & services.
2. No government or courts will ever suspend services of a company for few days, all they do is this stupid fines, which we the users are bearing in the long run.
3. Apple fans should unite and force the company to act ethically. Not trying to stereotype here, but the typical fans are not intelligent enough to do this.
4. Apple will continue to make profits, and it recently also got a huge award for being socially aware and all, which is sad.

You can use Apple products and you shouldn't care what other people think. The people who give those opinions have probably never used an Apple product in their lives. They think that criticizing Apple or its users makes them smarter people or buyers.

I would imagine it's 0% so Apple earns a lot more money then any of the artists.
Same with there itunes where apple takes like 90% from the songs sold and the artist get like 10% from there songs that are sold in that itunes.

And they were great devices and they worked better than any Android I ever owned. I also understand some of the concerns Apple has as well as some reasons why "their way" sometimes just works better. But there's also stuff where "Apple's way" is very anti consumer and often just straight up stupid. Not to mention how many times people here just hated on me the moment I said I like Apple or I like something they do the way they do.

Pull out of EU alt... moreIt's hard to just pull out of a market that's actually slightly bigger than US market and not yet as saturated with Apple devices as US market already is. They can't really increase iPhone sales in US all that much, but EU has a huge potential. It's just that their American centric lock in tactics don't work that well in EU... For buyers and legislators.
