Its the same story every year, when the next iphone launches at least in both Europe and US.
Apples sales rise with new iphones, Samsung sales take a hit and have to drop prices even more to be competitive and the rest of the companies are as usual at the bottom of the high end category.
And to no ones surprise, Iphone pro models are the ones driving these sales high, not the regular ones.
Yet the rest of the android companies keep pushing their flagship prices higher.

Apple dominating the premium segment is nothing new. This has been the case for more than a decade. Brand equity of Apple is really strong.

This is nothing new. We all know everyone makes premium phones, but nobody sells them like Apple or Samsung and Samsung's premium sales are nowhere near Apple's.
Currently, flagship phones are all pretty expensive, but Android users should be thanking Apple. When they started pushing their prices towards the $1,000 mark, it left a gap for Android manufacturers to make attractive flagship and midrange phones at affordable prices by comparison.

PureOS, 20 Feb 2024Why Samsung to lower price? Why not Apple? why should Apple lower prices when they have 77% of the high end market? If Samsung lowers prices and reduces Apple's market share then Apple will be scared and they MIGHT lower their prices to compete. Just how a market works my friend, a competitor comes and puts downward pressure on the price with a similar quality product and the top dogs need to differentiate further or reduce prices.

PureOS, 20 Feb 2024Why Samsung to lower price? Why not Apple? Because Samsung can't keep up with Apple and they discount their products aggressively.

holy ballssss 77% of the high end segment is under Apple, no wonder their profits are so high. If Samsung reduced prices by 200-300 dollars for each phone they could make it 50% or less for Apple but their greed won't let them grow much.

Good job, Samsung. For sure offering phones with Exynos in Europe in 2024 will help your sales here. Money speaks and noone will buy Exynos trash.

Or what hurts you is that your favorite Chinese brand doesn't even appear in the ranking? Apple sells the most devices over $900, something that even Samsung dreams of doing one day... EVERYONE WANTS AN IPHONE

Whole Europe market share is under half the Chinese market share and Chinese market share is more competitive. 129 million shipments vs 275 million shipments.
