No HSDPA..No 3G.. use to contact them..mentioning about functionality of Nokia,Samsung and etc in all country having same features. Moto having different features depending on each country. For example (Q9H) in europe and asia didn't have AGPS. In US everythings goes.
Now Q11 no HSDPA..No 3G and yet depending on country and cellular carrier??? really stupid. For donkey years being loyal to MOTO and I'm now thinking going for other phone. Stupid MOTO

Typical of Motorola not to be the cutting edge of technology,a year behind again! looks like a wannabe blackberry, with no thought gone into it, sorry motorola but you started all this off years ago, im sure you can try harder!

I seriuosly dont understand why Motorola can just include 3G connectivity! This is a business class phone, people who buy this phone use it to browse the internet and check email on the go. Now you have to find a WiFi hotspot to check your e-mail! Way to go Motorola! And the design of the phone is not that nice, the Q9 looks way better then this.

Practically, only a few people in this world ever use 3G to its full potential. Tell me, exactly how many of you use video calling and surf the web using 3G without fear of overheating the phone?

non 3g smartphones are so obsolete.
btw, what is wrong with motorola and 3G?
i can understand if motorola was owned by chinese company, since government of china do not give their permission to chinese local manufacturers to make 3G phones yet.
but as far as i know motorola isn't chinese, right?
or maybe i'm missing something here....

Somehow dont hit the mark again
Once upon a time when everyone had wifi. Moto doesnt
Now when people go 3G. Moto doesn't
When everyone have wimax, only than moto will have 3g

I'm thinking (hoping actually) that this is just for countries that don't have 3G, or don't have 3G throughout most of the country.
That being said, hopefully they will release a version of this with 3G

Danilo, 09 Oct 2008I agree.
With the previous Qs, it was the lack of Wi-Fi.... moreMy speculation is, again Moto is focusing on 2 of its major markets' customers: USA and mainland China...both of which don't have the WCDMA 3G network being used everywhere else, hence lack of 3G isn't a big problem, as I know the 2G variant of Q9...the Q8, actually sells quite well in PRC.
I'm a Moto fan who has both Q9h & A1600 (plus many more Moto phones), so the specs on Q11 doesn't attract me either.
Actually I plan to use my Q9 (which I bought in Jan) for 2+ years, just like my good old V3X, still works perfectly.

People decry the lack of 3G, but seriously how many of us really use that video-call functionality most of the time? In fact less than 10% of the people who utilise 3G phones ever used that function when making calls.
The decision to make the Q11 3G-less was to integrate into developing markets like China and Brazil where the consumer market is much bigger and the focus of Motorola was that this phone will sell to the masses when it reveals a budgetry pricing for this model.
The majority of the people here who whine so much about the incompetence of this product have this option of not buying. Thats all you need to know. And all Motorola knows is, you are definitely not the target audience Motorola wishes to sell their product too anyway.

Why would Moto release a phone at end of 2008 that does not have both 3g and wifi ?? Are they trying to fail because thats where they're headed.
