That's what the Canadian company hopes, but its COO is mum on which makers will put it on their phones.

Well in my opinion the app that is rising as a rocket but as silent as an ant is line its like whatsap but better, and have those huge emoticons and free video calling, things that rim hasn't even minded, even nimbuzz gets better than bbm so I keep line, because is fun as facebook, productive as microsoft and easy to use as a pencil.
      :)

Sorry, Blackberry will charge you more expensive if you are using BBM in another platform outside BB. What a market strategy. Now compare how many people are subscribing daily how many people are buying the phone daily.. All hail BB for a very wise decision.......

In my country many people use bb because of bbm, so if bbm can be on android and ios it means market for blackberry, will die. They will tell me how their sells are by dey end of this year. But I know that the days will fall heavy. Bb has make a mistake for that. For real bb without bbm has no use.

I think some of you need to learn how to spell before even attempting English.

The fact that RIM is releasing BBM for different handsets is a good thing and the first inventive decision they've made in a long time.

If they release this app to all then I believe it will sky rocket and the vast majority of people will have it on their phones.

                                Time will tell I suppose.
