This translates to €820 for the base model, and €1300 for the Ultra. Definitely overpriced considering the actual prices are well above these expectations.

Value for money was the key for Xiaomi success.
With these prices I can't really see a reason to buy their phones, maybe if you are looking for lower tiers but not a flagship level.
What a shame, like oneplus, they lost their way

Totally wrong. The 5x camera and the 3.2x camera both have larger effective lens diameters. The 3.2x camera even uses a larger sensor area and now has 49 effective megapixels instead of 32.

I don't care how much storage or ram they offer, for 1500 euro, that has no chance in the West against renown brands. It's gonna sell a "couple thousand" at best for the geeks who are into it and that's it...
