Whereas their inland android phone including xiaomi, have app restrictions and app installation lock for app outside China. You can't install any app besides China only app even travel abroad, because their system is only built for China and not available outside China.

Apple app store is based on country and region, so you can use iphone and install any app that available at that region you're travelled.
I have many colleagues from China and explained that way.

    Best phone on market for sure along with few others from Huawei, Honor, Vivo, Oppo and Oneplus 12.
    Lets see what Nothing brand brings this year.
    Also the flagship by Geely looks great.

      I'd like to see a camera comparison with the Pixel 7 Pro or 8 Pro at 360mm.

        You just go onto the Xiaomi website and ask for promo emails. I did and got send this offer with the photography kit and a Pad, a good offer, but my problem is that I want to improve on my panoramas using an ultrawide, but Xiaomi dont let the Ultrawide camera do sweeps, as I know from my Mi Note 11 pro, because its TOO wide to work you need a 16mm lens, not a 12-14mm. And you have to ask whether these superb new Xiaomis can be used with VR headsets….

And secondly the choice of using it or not is subjective. Read my comment, i said "to me". May be its good for u. Atleast i feel uncomfortable to have an iphone, don't want to be part of its ecosystem. If its best selling phone in china then in china other people do live as well, not only chinese.

This Xiaomi 14U is even better but will have to give it a skip for now.

                        I am a bit surprised that Xiaomi chose 120mm for the periscope camera. The 75mm camera has approximately 49 effective megapixels and also has a large effective diameter (6.82mm), so they could have chosen a crop for 120mm and use a higher equivalent focal length for the periscope camera instead (for example 170mm). Especially since the periscope camera has such a large effective lens diameter (7.76mm), it theoretically needs more pixels per angle (higher focal length than 19.4mm or smaller pixel size than 0.7 micrometer) in order to capture everything what the lens can theoretically resolve from distant objects.

                          The Mi13 Ultra had various image processing issues which made me return it. Also no B20 band.
                          Hope this will have an EU version + beter imaging, c'mon Leica you can do much better !

Apple distributing their phones for free? Chinese are honest and hardworking people. Nobody forces you to buy their products. Choose ehat suits you best. For me atleast apple is a piece of shit mostly which tiktokers and status conscious people use for a show off. Don't mind but its true.

                                Waiting for GSMArena to make a full review of this phone. The 13 Ultra is still a hugely capable smartphone in 2024, so the 14 Ultra needs something different for it to be a better purchase than the 13 Ultra. And no, new SoC doesn't count.

They used a silicon carbide battery on the Chinese model which takes up less space for the same mAh but is more expensive. They dropped that for the global model and replaced it with a normal battery. Honor did something similar last year but thankfully they kept the silicone carbide battery this year.
