A new Sony ISP provides a lot of computing power (and does so in a power efficient manner) that is used for all sorts of AI-based imaging tasks.

Oh camera getting a quality upgrade. It's nice to see tecno is improving quality over number game like 108 megapixel or 200 megapixel

      At least it's flat. Whether it'll rival even the iQoo 12 however we'll just have to wait and see.

Maybe it is an ... moreThis is most likely the custom image processing chip from Sony - It supports hardware acceleration for ML-powered noise reduction algorithms (What they call "AI noise reduction" for HDR video) which even the latest generation of BionZ XR doesn't even support, and from the way Tecno describes it this seems to be very much like Oppo's Marisilicon X which was a combined package of ISP and NPU.

                  BionZ chips, on the other hand, are SoC and actually have their own CPUs (They are accountable for UI navigations too), so I'm assuming this CXD chip completely different kind of component that Sony themselves never used on their consumer-grade cameras or Xperia.

                                      This is a critic against big brands that keeps the cycle of releasing flagship/premium midrange phones and then, the next year, they re-release it as a normal midrange with new name, same specs or most of them cut out.

                                      There's a brand's certain "A" series that illustrates that very well.
