It's a foldable that you can wear around your wrist.

I'm having a feeling this is their only concept phone

Looks impresive but as with every foldable its just an unfinished product nt worth to buy because of many downgrades mostly durability of main screen and hinge.

such an intereting but odd idea, i like where mwc went this year.

it also brought old tech inventions/concepts back to light in a cool way, i absolutely love when companies start to do crazy or dumb stuff instead of releasing generic phones every year.

LG had already researched and developed displays that roll-up, fold, bend, etc ten years ago in 2014, but their products were never mass-produced.

          Here's that news story:

Well this definetly reminds me of nokia labs and why they were ahead of everything that will ever come. To think that even this tech is older then 15 years...

0odle-noodle, 27 Feb 2024One strong jerk of the wrist and you're out $500. also... moreBendable/flexible battery technology has been available for a few years now. Just not in use, so it might be small batteries as you say or it could be that they finally found a use for flexible battery technology.
              Google it, quite cool technology
Ps not many people know that solid state batteries are available now and are being used in commercial products.
Punture resistant, 10000 cycles vs 3000 cycles for li-ion before degradation etc.
Quite cool battery technology out now.

Pretty cool that they could make the innards bendable too.

This doesn't need bend test haha

Fabric rear side probably sponge water in well or at least hold it in.
Also this concept was in fantasy like at the time we still used the feature phones.

It was interesting to see at that time but now it makes no sense and isn't even interesting.
Why would you want to have your phone wrapped around your arm like a large heavy watch ? Never mind that it's only 2/3 of it that wraps around so it can fall off your arm easy too

One strong jerk of the wrist and you're out $500. also the fact that this is a full sized phone on your wrist, its got to be heavy and uncomfortable. also there's the fact that batteries can't bend, so is there just a ton of small batteries along the spine? Whatever the battery situation is, it can't be any good, and likely is as bad, if not worse than the 2019 RAZR.
