Sales of s4 were calculated only in carrier stores.

Samsung can't stand with s4. Coz it got the same design as s3 wit some new features and bigger screen. And some negative issues like overheating, memory problem(though they promised to solve).
It got large amount of sale just because of it's fame. Bt now coin had showed its opposite side.

Infortunately, this is another incomplete data just like GS4 selling 10millions only shipped but not to the end users that is now causing too much supply over demand. Before we know it, the iPhone is still outselling any other phones because the APPLE store sales was never taken into the account. To this day, I havnt seen hardly any GS4 OUT IN the wild to the customers hands like I did with the GS3.

As pointed out already by others, the title of this new item is incorrect. It should read as "market cap/market capitalization".
There is no "marketing cap" in business lexicon.

S4 Mini has nothing to do with Samsung's S4 sales besides, Mini is made to those who don't like the big size of GS4. Maybe it's mainly because of the IP certified S4 Active. I don't really understand why Samsung made it and downgraded the specs like the camera which is very important to a lot! In the first place, Samsung should have thought about the phone's design before releasing it. If Active's design was applied to the current GS4 then maybe it should have been better coz Active was designed so much better than the ugly designed GS4. Imagine GS4 with Active's design being the one and only S4 out in the market with a 13MP camera, much better right? Even if the Mini doesn't come with the same design concept and IP certification its okay coz the units are only gonna be made for the people who don't wanna spend too much money on a flagship phone. Now if Apple is going to make that kind of program having the old phones exchanged and get discounted rates on the upcoming iPhones based on what I understood about the article then Samsung will somehow get affected by it. Another thing is the growing competition in the Android world, Many OEMs nowadays produce better looking phone than Samsung, Samsung only had other OEMs original ideas like Air Gesture which originally came from Sony as the Floating Touch found on the Xperias U and Sola, Dual shot camera from LG and the Smart Stay/Pause also came from LG with their Eye Tracking technology found on the G Pro that is why they sued Sammy for releasing the said technology found on the GS4. With Sony releasing the new monster devices in a couple of months from now and announcing it in the next few days (rumored devices Togari, Gaga and Honami) a lot are waiting eagerly to see what Sony can offer! Xperia Z still might have not been a bigger name than the over marketed GS4 but Sony did well with it and now that they're coming with a fight against Sammy with the new beasts coming out, Samsung should really now take it seriously. LG is coming with the rumored Optimus G2 and Nexus 5, Moto with the rumored X Phone that Google owns by the way and HTC with their new versions of One and the new Butterfly 2 coming the competition gets tougher and people are looking for alternatives just like what happened to the iPhone 4 with Samsung's GS2!

That's precisely why so many people bailed. They are reacting to the freshest information available and getting out while they are ahead. If they expected it to go up continuously, they would have stayed in the stock. I think the take away here is that most people here have no idea about trading and want to spin it to their own fanboy desires.

I think the takeaway here is that stupid investors are stupid. Trees don't grow to the sky. Expecting quarter after quarter of steady sales growth forever is unrealistic and only sets you up to be disappointed.

One reason I don't like watching Bloomberg. It's all about stocks going up and up and up.
Announcing a mini version doesn't mean the S4 is performing bad. Samsung sees the market that high-end big-sized phone has reached its peak.
The slow-down is affecting Samsung and it's affecting others too.
