Reason for this is because s4 is not much of an upgrade of s3. When s3 came out, comparing it to s2, s3 is definitely a big wow. Plus s2 owners has experienced burnt led. Thats amoled weakness, low life span. Now bring out S5, but this time they should give some realistic marketing. Like, where's the flex screen, the virtual holographics, etc etc. None came, just plain hype.

Economic trade cycle:
Recession - Recovery - Boom - Depression
Recession: Low confidence in investment, inflation at hyper and economy is shifting towards crisis. This is where Nokia was.
Recovery: Gain in business confidence so investment increases and therefore economy finds a shift towards prosperity. This is where Nokia is currently standing right now.
Boom: High business-investment confidence with maximum employment. Demand is low as compared to supply(creating hyper inflation which is a cause of downward cycle). This is where Samsung is currently standing right now.
Depression: Instantly fall from prosperity towards declining value. This is a result of hyper-inflation where Samsung is currently standing right now.
So, if the rumors are right which I am sure they are as this happens "in every" economy, happened in USA(Wall-street crisis), then Samsung will see a decline in their shares.

Was about time... As i was saying. Everything that goes up so fast, is going down faster. People are tired of the copycats. It's about time for the people to go smarter then there phones. The latest samsungs release is the proof of what i'm talking about. Steal everything, no ideas, no design, crapp build materials, crappy camera, crappy system. They started with s2 and s4 will be the last of the succes of samsung. Is time for real phone builders to take there rightful place.

And some are on "no phone" contracts where they have to get a phone separately. The whole India market is apparently like that.

S4 or no S4, Samsung is still selling a shed-load of phones as we read this article. And its phones are much better than Apple's, even Samsung mid-rangers beat iPhones in terms of hardware.

Strange, most people i know (and i know a lot ofpeople) find the s4 to be an amazingly gorgeous device and the screen is fantastic. S4 is getting very prevalent. And especially in Asia.
I find the HTC One more attractive but I would've bought one if it had sdcard support.

that is a big bump, but it is an analysts view on the matter, but i suspect that the simple reason s4 sales are slowing are because of the 3 different s4 models hitting the shops soon, s4 mini, s4 zoom, s4 active, i own s4 and love everything about it now the new update was announced in regards to storage, but in my opinion it was to soon for samsung to offer different models, they should have stuck with the s4 as the only model out, and offered these new products in the autumn to coincide with iphone release, but there is more competition this year with the xperia and htc one, and more coming every week, so slumps are to be expected i guess.

2nd, samsung is losing market share because people are starting to buy their mid and lower range products instead of the S4... either way, people are still buying samsung phones.
