pl2rts, 05 Mar 2024""Have you ever taken the time to consider, with ... moreYou have to understand that many don't complain because of various reasons including language problems, no ID on site, they believe its not going to affect anything, etc.
Even then, many have complained but nothing happens.

Any truly intelligent being would know that the concepts of removable battery and microSD slot have a lot going in their favour, but no argument goes against it. Not even 1, except maybe for less engineering space for other components.
If people don't like microSD, they have a choice to leave the slot empty. Choice is good.

You think the industry is listening to us? Try to get a privacy oriented phone from one of the big players, one with physical swtiches for mic and all.
Even if you all bond together, there's no way this will happen.
      You're not in control, sir.

People just to remind you.MIUI Recovery and Hard Reset.Same goes for a HyperOS.HYPER Recovery Wipe Cashe and Wipe Data/Factory Reset and perhaps Repair Apps if there is such feature in MIUI and HyperOS Recovery.Problem solved.

Had this issue with wife's Poco X3 pro. Boot cycled continuously. Got round it by pressing the power button furiously multiple times for about 30 seconds to a minute (may take longer on other devices). It then went from the Poco title in boot loop to MIUI and the phone booted normally.

This happened 5 days ago and phone has been working fine ever since.

It's not the user's causing the issue wtf?

Update on my bricked Redmi Note 10 Pro - Xiaomi have washed their hands of it because it's out of warranty - even though they forced an OTA update on what was a perfectly functioning phone without asking for my permission. I have entered into email dialogue with them, asking if it's acceptable to damage my property like that then deny responsibility. I don't expect I'll get a satisfactory answer :(

Pai Manuel, 04 Mar 2024This is unacceptable.Yeah I think it is also disgusting, have they even come out and made a public apology or what they are doing to rectify the situation?

                      potato4k, 05 Mar 2024Nothing new for Xiaomi users... 😂100%

Disgusting from this company and not for the first time, I won't touch them with a bargepole all you read is dead motherboards, bootlooping, and a whole plethora of bugs in there software, this will just make more customers walk away from them.

Yep, this happened to my Xiaomi 13 last Thursday. Xiaomi support was not aware of this issue and told me I could either factory reset, and if that doesn't help I'll need to send it in. Factory reset resolved the boot loop and afterwards HyperOS installed without problems, but obviously, all data that I hadn't backed up was gone, including recent family photos... At least it taught me the value of regular cloud backups...

This is very serious damage to MI brand, this was happened to one of friends to POCO X3 , then we gave to repair shop, then they said this was not software issue, something with the chipset, even they could not bring this back to life, now this device is dead already. I was very disappointed because i forgot to unlock the bootloader before this happened, anyways manufacturer should give user to ability to flash the software without unlocking bootloader,( in this case big applaud to apple, they allowed to flash the software using itunes)

Anonymous, 04 Mar 2024Too bad the modern users love that current phones no longer... moreMicro SD is quite literally the worst form of backup. If you leave it in your phone and you lose your phone, you also lose your backup, and if you leave it outside of your phone, the thing is tiny and its destined to be lost

Loads of people affected. Interesting Xiaomi won't give the number. If they had got their act together and updated my Poco X5 pro to hyper OS, this would not have happened. Perhaps they could also say what they are going to do to prevent such problems in future. Likely to be going Pixel next time due to this.
