Don't make it wrong, Huawei is not going to hold an event like what you say. The "conference" means the ongoing "two sessions", considered a solemn occasion that no company wants to risk being criticized for holding a product launch

That isn't insignificant. The biggest beneficiary of the restrictions though at least in Europe was actually Xiaomi. They basically filled the gap left by Huawei as they had a very low market share before the Huawei restrictions (about 4%) but they basically replaced Huawei in carrier stores.

I still know people who swear by the camera of the P30 line, the last kind of phone launching with a decent price to specs ratio.
And my friends wouldn't leave this brand if it wasn't due to the previous US president.
