Apple to reinstate Epic Games' developer account after an EU order

An Epic Games app store seems a bit more likely now.

Things today ar... moreOh I do not disagree that the EU would suffer, but it would be considerably less felt then a single entity, as most of these employees would simply take other tech jobs or perhaps change fields all together especially when it comes to the retail sector, either way it wouldn't be beneficial for both sides.

If the DMA is the line, a ... moreThe DMA's scope is the overreach for me, and while oversight on hardware such as the right to repair and universal connector standards etc. might be more palatable due to tangible impacts like E-waste, software regulation treads on complex IP grounds, and I don't think correction was required. There's already a fair amount of consumer choice in Europe, and this has long been to case. So as far as I'm concerned the market was doing just fine.

But as I have said on more than one occasion now, I'm not asking for others to agree with me on this, and while my scepticism is personal, it's not unique.

Go on a tangent? Seems like a line you heard recently and couldn't wait for utter, because how in the world did I go off on a tangent (that's actually the correct line)? Lol.

You kept crying here that government shouldn't regulate, now you insinuate that you believe in oversight. What, then, is an oversight? And how exactly does the government cross the line? By bringing and implementing an act that is meant to bring fairness and curb big tech's excesses/overreaches? Well, you said that you feel, not that you think—that says a lot about the person I'm even going back and forth with. What requires thinking, you're investing feeling in. To think that you actually accused me of assumption. Tueh.

You need to go and take a long and hard look into a gigantic mirror.

              Jeez dude, Get over yourself!

I never once said I don’t believe in a need for some oversight, I said I feel a line has been crossed. Then you proceeded to go on a tangent and assume the rest of my argument.

All you had to do was invalidate my stance, but you couldn't do that. From the look of things, you either have an issue with the EU lawmakers or have a soft spot for Apple. Okay. But neither would alter, in any way, the validity or importance of the regulation itself.

You seem to have no idea of the need for some sort of regulation and oversight in capitalism. You don't know what the industry would be for consumers without regulations. You thing manufacturers care for much aside their botromline? I mean, I had to cite the "right to repair" act drama in the U.S in hope that it'd get you to think but it flew over your head.

About the deleted comment; I didn't know, but you did. I can't even say which one, but you likely can. And that says a lot. Well, at least, you read it before it got deleted for whatever reason. I say things as they are. I have little-to-no interest to sugarcoat. No walking on eggshells around me.

Status quo doesn't change easily, it is true that Apple pulling out of the EU is unthinkable. But is it any more unthinkable than the Feb 9 story on the Daily Telegraph by William Hazell? (look for it if you haven't heard). Maybe we're living in a time when the unthinkable suddenly becomes a distinct possibility

Android is ready to take over the rest here. Most people are not that techie than in Asia e.g.
They buy what's being sold in the stores.
Others could still import an iPhone from the US. I'm pretty sure Apple would lower the restriction of importing for that.
The good thing is that, despite what some might be thinking, companies do have other goals. If it comes to making a profit, they really don't care about fanwars or "slapping" a pretty valuable market.
