Yeah, this literally looks like some click bait post your servers aren't handling, that means you must be having good traffic and you have to upgrade your hosting plan instead of saying attack.

[deleted post]Or perhaps it's due to some botnet?

I thought I'd noticed some slow downs etc (tbf i have been having wifi issues aswell so thought it was my side).

I hope the conflict gets resolved quickly and safely for you. Keep your heads up, got mine and a lot of dedicated following here so keep pushing forward (plus imo you're the best mobile tech site/ev tech site going). ✌️

Zuzuz, 09 Mar 2024They just want some ransom if succeed to break the siteHow could they possibly ask for ransome in a ddos attack? The only thing they will get is a foot in the arse and ip blocked, problem solved...

Not only Jio Airtel, even Vi (Vodafone Idea) users are not able to access GSMArena website

Anonymous, 10 Mar 2024Clickbait type of Headline. Maybe it wasn't any IP att... moreI very much doubt it. People do not just enter the Site all in the same second, an attack is very easy to spot if you know where to look. A better IT infrastructure? How will this help if attacks comming from over 100000 IPs? Maybe cloudflare bot would be able to spot the attack and block it, but we talk of a LOT of IPs commin in via https, even for cloudflare bots might be too hard to spot if this is an actuall attack or not. Blocking the IPs would be the real solutions, and dealing with the Providers to solve the problem would be the final step to be taken.

Clickbait type of Headline. Maybe it wasn't any IP attack but lot of traffic coming suddenly. Maybe some article of your got viral in India and so heavy traffic may have come because of it. You know the number of Internet users in India. Better use some good IT infrastructure and use Cloudflare. It will help next time.

Whats the point in putting so much time and effort and money to attack your website? Like give some context 🤣 Well im accessing normally from India so its solved or is this ip not banned…

This website is working fine without VPN in BSNL FTTH (fiber) and jio mobile data.

I don't use vi and bsnl mobile data. So no comments on that.

Anonymous, 10 Mar 2024so this is How the website load without internet traffic fr... moreAs an Indian they didn't completely banned every Indian IP but seems a large portion of IPs originating from Indian mobile networks got blacklisted. I am commenting here through fiber broadband without any VPN or proxies help. But can no longer access Gsmarena through my phone network. It is quite unfortunate what happened to Gsmarena and I wish Gsmarena migrate to more robust cloudflare network which tend to offer superior DDoS protection like delayed access.

A lot of traffic on your website? Well that's good isn't it? You are making a lot of money then.. Or do they all have AdBlock?

flop, 09 Mar 2024Website is slow here in northern Europe aswell :\Itll be slow no matter where you arem

The attack could be a denial of service method - hitting the host server and subsequently sub-IPs for the site as well. This will also affect the apps.

Since im exclusively on WiFi and only accessed on oublic WiFi networks i honestly thought the issue was local to me lol.

                                      Denial of Service attacks.

Need a network administrator with expeeience? ;)
