Leaked iPhone 16 Pro schematics show the Capture Button

The schematics also point at a bigger display.

Bodygard, 10 Mar 2024Allow me to partly disagree. There's a big difference ... moreHonestly dude, I can see where you are coming from. Again I would also partly disagree. Being a mature product line I think the expectation for iteration rather than sweeping changes would be more advisable. But yes I do get your point.

There's a big difference and that is, Apple is the most known and recognizable brand. As such, they are subject to big scrutiny and also expectations from customers, and legitimate expectations. Why? Because Apple as the known brand it is, and with all the trillions they have at their disposal, should do more, should innovate more to convince people to buy the newer devices and to set the standards. It's kind of a let down, year after year they show us almost the same thing (a very good device, no doubt, but very very close to the predecessors). Samsung also can be said the same thing of course.

I suppose the only difference I can see is that Apple may release models that are very similar on a yearly bases, where as in Android world, especially where the Chinese oems are concerned, they seem to do it every other day…..

Getting back to your point though, let’s use the Galaxy S24 Ultra as one example shall we, you see any major differences between it and it’s immediate predecessor’s 🤷

raj, 10 Mar 2024Apple is fooling customers to upgrade by slowly pushing one... moreTrue for years. But i think that's backfiring and apple users are already keeping their phones for longer and longer. That in the long run means decreasing sales. They're not gonna convince people to upgrade if all they have to show is the same design, add a button, change the color, improve the cameras 5%, improve the speed 5% and those kind of things.
I continue to say, if you buy an iphone 13 pro today (refurbished like new with new battery) for 500 you'll have 90-95% of the experience compared with the 15 pro while saving a ton of cash.

Apple is fooling customers to upgrade by slowly pushing one or two features every year.

I smell a lawsuit because of that button!

Larger in all dimensions, and weight is estimated to increase by 7 grams as well. Definitely the wrong direction for me. I‘d be fine with the base model if that one can at least keep the weight lower. That one is rumored at 173 grams so 21 grams lighter than Pro, but still 2 grams more than 15. My current phone is 177 grams and I wish it was noticeably lighter, 15 grams at least.

I'm glad Apple is bringing back the shutter button. It was a no-brainer. Don't know why they took it out in the first place
