The customers will buy iPhone 16 Pro and Max with or without the button. They sell tens of millions of them but it does not mean they make the feature mainstream. It is just there!

Apple has lost it completely. Button everywhere, on a smartphone. I guess, that's the "innovation" you're stuck with when you don't have access to cutting edge smartphone hardware like foldable glass.

Apple critics here ignoring the lack of innovation in 90% of other smartphones. When Nothing offer something new, it's "useless" smh.

I only read this comments section for a laugh.

Then tomorrow someone posts render of xiaomi 15 series with cam buttom.
                    Dont be surprised.

I guess Apple is now lost in terms of their vision of the iPhone design, and now they would just add buttons. Their camera island design has been the same since the iPhone 11.
Just like the iPad. Now they are simply turning the iPad into a Surface Pro clone.

[deleted post]Is trash? Trust me, this "trash" is going to sell like crazy. It's a good thing you're not in charge of Apple.

The only thing that needs a little progress is in batteries that are more durable and in charging! that the phone lasts at least 5 days on a single charge

The bad thing is that all Android manufacturers except Sony* are going to come with that button too... at this point phones should no longer have annoying physical buttons

raj, 10 Mar 2024Apple is fooling customers to upgrade by slowly pushing one... moreAren't they all

Pillowcase , 10 Mar 2024Remember N series?Nokia N series actually didn't get dedicated two-step shutter buttons until after Sony Ericsson's K800. Nokia N900 had the first phone camera with a button, though it was more dedicated to the "handycam" function. So we are both technically correct bro

Pointless endeavours are yet again Apple's speciality. You don't need a dedicated Capture Button when your new Action Button can be used as a Capture Button. Also, why the hell are they not also upgrading the telephoto's sensor to also be 48MP and be larger than that puny 1/3.06"-type sensor, why is the ultrawide not getting any bigger in sensor size (48MP, but 1/2.6"-type instead of 1/2.55"-type), why is there no telephoto macro? Apple's new phones are evolving at a snail's pace, but let's ignore that and shove unneeded upgrades that are incredibly minor and no one asked for, like the useless Capture Button. Hell, people probably don't even need the Action Button, but Apple's insistence on wanting to change the Mute Switch to a haptic Action Button that ended up being a regular Action Button instead gave us this pile of sludge (not that the haptic version would've been any better).

DaFink, 10 Mar 2024Honestly dude, I can see where you are coming from. Again I... moreYes that's the problem, "advisable". Apple today works on the safe side, not innovating as they could, as they did in the Jobs era. They went from passionate about their products to rational about their products and profits of course. They don't risk it anymore and i understand why. They let the androids go in first, be the guineas and then 2 years after come out with something similar but saying it's been done the "right" way. Ok they're taking their chances, let's see where that goes with sales in the future...
