Samsung to make rectangular Galaxy Watches again

Remember the Galaxy Gear? It was square too.

Why Samsung don't give their customers a choice of both; round and square version of a smartwatch and let them decide what they prefer? Why there has to be only one shape available? Some people go for Apple watch only because they prefer a square shape so Samsung is losing those customers.

    This will be Worst mistake Samsung will ever make on a productifsqauredqatches from them comes back!!

    Nothing good will come of this!

                        Good. Round displays are dumb and inefficient content-wise. It's a digital device that's not just showing time, making it round and emulating the "analog" shape makes no sense

                          Galaxy Watch 6 owner and I've really missed rectangle Sammy watches
                          I don't really care for circle watch faces

                              I actually prefer a square watch, but I love my watch 5 pro. Regardless, I hope this adds room to fit a larger battery inside. I can get 3-4 days which is fine, but that should be standard for the regular galaxy watch. The pro should be able to go much longer.

                              Fortunately, the 2 chip/OS approach we see on the OnePlus Watch 2 is not proprietary. It was created by google so all smartwatches will be able to take advantage of Wear OS Hybrid. Most already have the hardware. That should further increase the battery life.

                                I also believe that Smartwatches would become obsolete with the rise of Rings and AR glasses (I mean real useful glasses and not goggles from Meta or Apple).

                                        A few 'necessary' things must be considered; zero bezels (1mm max) and a Micro LED display otherwise, it's just another (square) watch.
