You don't even understand how market share works. Yes, some people will buy macOS PCs from other manufacturers instead of from Apple. In that case, in the long run, having choices may not affect the market share. Currently, people already have a choice. Most of them choose Windows.

Win does have that advantage indeed, but majority of people only use computers for basic needs, which is why we have seen the rise in tablets and Chromebooks,

Who is restricting apple doing the same? Did someone told them to isolate mac os from other hardware manufacturers? What apple calls security is actually isolation while isolation =/= security.
Keeping customers tied to specific hardware (not allowing choice) and charging humongous amount just for minimal upgrade is not embarrassing for company like apple,right?

Even so, Apple complains about it. And a small factor they no longer use intel chips in their products. Future OS will probably stop support of intel chips.

Apple like to control the user experience. They loose that the moment they offer up MacOS to oems who promptly stuff it into some low end, Celelron powered, sub £200 laptop, and it runs like a pig.
