how about a Tablet Dock or Wireless Tablet External?

The spirit of Asus Padfone would be so much appreciated

What a load of sht. even more toned down ROG phone. This makes no sense at all as they toned down the ROG 8 to fit everyone and now they bring this one that even look a bit like the ROG 8. Asus has lost it with the line up. No one asked this model

Is this supposed to be an early April fool's joke?

Asus might as well close up their mobile division. This is embarrassing.

Anton el .PAPI, 14 Mar 2024This presentation is dreamy!!! an ultra device that has not... moreI much prefer a telephoto camera without a periscope, it’s easier to let in more light, not to mention the assembly is way smaller. Other than that the phone looks the most generic it has ever looked, the colours are nice though

          "we listen to your feedback"

And that is why the Zenfone 11 Ultra is a ROG 8 without the charger and RGB, and just 50 euro cheaper than ROG 8 in my country.

Also some guy in the chat of that stream made me facepalm, he was happy the Zenfone is finally large because he prefers big phones, and people wanting small ones have enouch choice.

THAT IS THE ISSUE, the is nearly no choice and for people like him the ohter 99% of the big smartphone market exist.

          Anyhow

2 OS upgrades and 4 years of security just like ROG 8
Starting at 999 euro for 256gb/12GB RAM (ROG 8 in same config is 1048 euro here now)
No charger in box because "enviroment" (ROG 8 comes with a charger)

Just wow, also they announced a ton of reskinned AI functionality like it is their own, great.

So small Zenfone is gone, because "they listened to our feedback"

In other words if you want a Asus, get ROG 8 because that one at least comes with a charger.

(but in all honesty, just get any other brand, Samsung, Apple, Google, Sony, OnePlus, Xiaomi and so on, anything is better than this Zenfone 11 Ultra for THAT money)

Meh, Asus still think they are competing in the 2010s. When your software support is shorter than even the Chinese, it's embarrassing. At the price they are charging, they should be ashamed of themselves.

DBS, 14 Mar 2024Yeah. I'm definitely spending time of my day watching ... moreHe speaks for you!!!

This presentation is dreamy!!! an ultra device that has nothing ultra!! without periscope and very generic design, the only ultra thing will be the price

Let's Watch the livestream, it will be inpressive

404, 14 Mar 2024You guys might hate me for this but I still prefer last yea... moreLast year's ROG Phone 7 camera design fit the gaming theme much better. But this year's ROG Phone 8 kind of lost that gamer-centric feel due to the fact than Asus tried making the Phone 8 series go mainstream, which is why they also had to use a more simple, clean design. The overall design of the phone, I would say the ROG Phone 8 is better. The camera bump on its own... I guess I would give the slight edge to the Phone 7. As for the Zenfone 11, is basically gonna be a rebrand of the ROG Phone 8. Sadly, I don't see Asus in the phone market lasting for too long from now...

You guys might hate me for this but I still prefer last year's both Zenfone and ROG camera design over this year's whateverthehellisthis design.

They are completely lost....First they decide 2 sizes, then focus on compact phones and now they go with ultra sizes...

This just shows that marketing team is lost. ASUS failed to create brand impact in the market , period. When will brands realize they should focus on their best products rather than trying to create products they are not good at?

Yeah. I'm definitely spending time of my day watching this. Because if there's one thing we don't have are ridiculously oversized slabs of glass for phones. I would say "mobile phones" but there's absolutely nothing mobile about today's phones since you can't use a single one of them with just one hand on the go.

I like Asus but their software update efforts leave a lot to be desired. Sometimes you're waiting many months just for a new security update.

DarlingYext, 14 Mar 2024The most overpriced phone of the year is coming.Overpriced and with a design more generic than budget realme phones

Id happily go back to ZenFones. I had the ZenFone 6 from banggood and it was such a good phone, there was an option to switch from zenui 6 and stock but you couldn't even tell the difference

DarlingYext, 14 Mar 2024The most overpriced phone of the year is coming.I didn't realise the iPhone was still on its 11th generation. where I live mate, iPhone 16 is coming out in September

I swear the guy in the picture looks like another guy in a particular meme template
