The only problem was that apple's flagships are way too pricy for a lot of people, and the mini was not an exception to that trend. The very inadequate 64 GB option was a further deal breaker

Context: TKDN is some kind of percentage of how many components in the gadget are made in Indonesia.

The fate of this new company will be seen in its next high-end that is supposed to be released in 3 months

Not to hard to make new brand if there is already experience on making phone and people know the owner name. For Xiaomi it took like 4-5 years while they started from 0 to be somewhat known trough out the world. Well except North America where it's best to stay away cause you never know what damage that continent will do for you brand as for example is Huawei and now probably also TikTok that got ultimatum bill made for them as sell your platform or we remove it from google and other OS platforms . Never mind that the TikTok problem in west is not the app but the west world laws that allow all this and then the users who make the content that cause problems.
But in modern day it's typical by Americans to accuse everyone but themselves

rizki1, 17 Mar 2024Nothing's fanbase continues to grow including me start... moreglyph lights are just gimmick, but convinced the masses. just as oppo's orbit light. those are being covered up their devices with silicon cases anyway, and that covers almost everything. i would not like to put any case on this if i were you. but yeah, it's weird that nothing phone aren't being sold to indonesia. maybe they have to deal with their way of approving devices before entering indonesia. like TKDN or Bea Cukai (if you import from another country).

I'm hoping for the Nothing 3 with a suitable telephoto lens and periscope at least 3x, which is the maximum they'll surely put together! why the budget is going away e. put lights...

Too much bla bla to convince people that this design is nice... Nothing phone 1 and then Nothing phone 2 are nice phones. But this 2a looks ugly...
Hope nothing phone 3 will come if no Gen 3 at least Gen 2 With better cameras and to keep glyth in the back..

Anonymous, 17 Mar 2024The phone and nothing OS is visually appealing, but I doubt... moreI mean that's one of the selling points of the Nothing phone: running an OS that's a bit different compared to stock-AOSP but still being simple, even simpler than OxygenOS or One UI. Also, if you just not a fan of NothingOS, it's easy to custom ROM a Nothing phone (dunno about the 2a one since it uses a MediaTek chipset).
Another thing that I like from Nothing Phone is I'm glad that they at least didn't make two of the same functionality apps pre-installed on their device. We don't need both Google Photos and vendor's Gallery app pre-installed, or both Chrome and vendor's browser pre-installed (which is in most case still a Chromium-based browser), or both Play Store and vendor's App Store pre-installed, etc.

Nothing's fanbase continues to grow including me starting to like their phones but sadly they're not sold in my country. It's not surprising that if they released a more cheap phone from the CMF sub brand and more and more people know about them... and who would have thought they were only 2 years old since their first phone, when brands from Taiwan and Japanese can't make attractive phones like this..
