    What's great about the camera grip is that it allows you to use a lens filter on it. I like using a very weak diffusion filter (Black Mist Protector) on my Samyang 35mm lens, so light sources are softened nicely without turning the entire frame into a glary mess. I wonder what the same filter would do to this Xiaomi, as I think a nostalgic colour rendition of Leica Authentic would go really well with it.

      Lets see the review before the normal negative comments.

        I have no idea what you're talking about - Xiaomi allows you to choose between Leica Authentic/Vibrant AND apply additional filters on top of that for every lens.

Its not that good on the Oppo Find X7 Ultra - Its more or less "average" good... And the 2.8X zoom...? Hardly a sensor likely to be used much...

          The Xiaomi 14 Ultra uses the same 1" main camera sensor as the Find X7 Ultra... But has a considerably brighter aperture ( F1.6 vs F1.8 ) ... Plus Xiaomi's optics are superior 8P lens vs 6P on the Oppo.

              Hardware of iphone 15 pro max costs $558. This is about the 256GB variant. Other costs not included.
              Do you think xiaomi would sell this phone in China for less than $1000 if it had same price to be made as iphone?

                  I tough they moved to the 7 years of updates and security updates from the S24 series onwards. Before they had 4 OS and 5 years of security updates as normal.

                    Look at there Vision Pro that they say it cost 1700 to make but they ask 3500 for the device.

                    It's also same with there other devices as they get a lot of profit. Especially as they have the trend to have one design on the phone for 3-5 years so they dont have the cost on phones design for each new generation

                            The phone's camera on the first day of use fogged up three times while I was outside. The pictures were tragic. Write the truth and don't advertise junk.

                              Here in the UK you get the 16gb 512gb model with a free xiaomi pad 6 and the photography kit for £1249 with a £50 voucher applied.
                              Much better intial value the S24 Ultra pricing

                                  People that can easily pay over $1000 for cellphone will never keep it for 5-6 years.

                                    Point is the fact Xiaomi charges something like €880-900 in China, then €1500 in Europe.
                                    Price in China already includes R&D, taxes, marketing etc.
                                    Even if you add VAT and other costs, there is no way the device would jump to €1500 while keeping same marging they make in China.
                                    Samsung, Asus and Sony do not increase price by 50-60% compared to what they ask in South Korea, Taiwan and Japan.

                                        Xiaomi's cameras are great in terms of hardware but their portraits might be the worst of the big flagship brands. Idk about you guys but most of the pics I take are of family and friends and so people photos and portraits are a huge deal to me. That's where Oppo and Vivo win out for me with their insane consistency and balanced outputs. Idk why Xiaomi decided to limit lenses to certain filters, like why not be like Samsung, Vivo, Apple or Oppo and let people use each lens with different filters and color modes instead of being forced onto one? Apart from that I wish Leica Authentic had better HDR and that's it, if the price was like in India where it's cheaper than the S24 Ultra then this'd be an easy win, a home run. Europeans get the worst end of the stick each time it seems.
