a very close battle
I wouldn't say 1+12 is doing better here. S24U captures better video imo. And its battery life is not far behind 1+12 as I was expecting.
anyhow, the reviewer should have taken new photos and videos from the two phones AT THE SAME TIME OF THE SAME DAY. That would have made comparing the photos and videos among the two phones much fairer.

It's annoying not having the option for TRUE fast charging when i rly need it.
The S24U is okay all over but not more then this and I know for sure I don't keep it for a long time... better phones (all over) out there for sure.
And what makes me grrr, is Samsung still is no 1 in Android world and therefore I want all options in a flagship.
My plan was not to buy Samsung again nut then S24U came with a flat display.
But looking forward getting another phone with better SOT, charging speed etc.

The awesome deal about oneplus is that you can get the Chinese version (which is equal in hardware to the global version) with the global rom installed, shipped from EU warehouse with 2yr warranty for under €600 which is half the price of the S24 Ultra. And that makes people think...

OnePlus clearly wins if you account for the price. I bought mine at launch, and the deals basically gave me the phone cheaper than the S24 (regular). For the 512GB configuration.
Comparing phones by price puts the OP12 against the S24 while having better features than the S24+. It's a no-brainer choice.
Samsung wins due to advertising, branding, and deals with telecoms, bundling the phone price into the monthly plan so people don't realize how much they're paying.
