Lol, Apple would feed you 32GB if it could, so you can happily use they shitty cloud storage so they milk you more 🤣

Maria, 19 Mar 2024I feel that this adv is only an undirect message from Apple... moreBecause their storage upgrades are pretty much pure profit.

128GB is not "lots of storage" in 2024. Not even in 2018. Just a few hours of video can easily take most of that amount of storage.

Apple should not be the one bragging about their storage when they never had a MicroSD slot in their phones and upcharge as much as 2000% for the storage on iPhones, iPads, and Macs. If you truly care Apple, you'd provide a MicroSD slot or at least offer an upgrade to 1TB for $50 instead of $500.

For some perspective, my phone has 256GB internal plus another 256GB MicroSD card, and I chose my laptop specifically because it has 2 M.2 slots for SSDs. I am using both of them to store 3TB. Now that's a lot of storage, enough that I won't be running out anytime soon.

SSDs are cheap as paper nowadays. There's no reason to have such a ridiculously low amount of storage except for $.

Also, anyone who thinks everyone uses cloud storage obviously has never lived outside a 1st world country and never dealt with power cuts/blackouts and not being able to afford a PC. For most people living in these countries, their phone is their everything, so yes, offline storage is, and always will be king.

Phone Critic, 20 Mar 2024I wonder why you people didn't complain about iPhone 1... moreDid you think that company just simply increased their base model storage because they wanted to? Without any complaints from consumers, it is more likely that they will still stick with 64GB of storage in the base model iphone for another decade.

Anonymous, 19 Mar 2024Which we can presume you still paying monthly installments ... moreI wonder why you people didn't complain about iPhone 11 and 12 64GB Storage for 799$ at the Beginning

                            Now u complain about this
                            C'mon 🥲

Knowing Apple, they probably have a great idea what storage amount most smartphone users have on average. Given that us smartphone enthusiasts are the minority, I won’t be shocked if the average smartphone owner has 64-128GB smartphones due to most people only upgrading every 2-3 years and typically going for base storage.

Personally? I went for 512GB on my iPhone 15 Pro Max and it has been more than enough, anything less would be little.

You are paying premium and 128GB is just enough or same as 256GB android phone, lol laughable at max....

Do you realize you're paying premium, and 256GB is almost the standar? Memory is pretty cheap these days for the price you're paying, even if apple optimizes a lot the images ( compression ) and such stuff which can also be done on android with the new video formats and HEIF formats, why have less when you can have more?

The reason nº1 why the smartphone market keeps evolving is thanks to android, if it were for apple only would be more or less what's happening with NVIDIA and graphic cards.

Total dominance = lack of evolution.

Thanks that there is a lot of competition in the smartphone world and that
makes apple not stick too far away from competition, and they can manage
to sell 128gb like if it was 256gb.

Just ludicrous, this world is just beyond saving

Advertising the lowest tier is definately gutsy on part of Apple.
And yes I do feel 128 GB is enough.
In a world where half the things on my device are backed up, from Apps to App Data, Photos, Videos n what not, I have to option to stream everything.
I don't see too much value in getting higher storage options unless there's a niche use case.

What I'm surprised at is the fact that a simple advertise is being used by GSMArena to create an article out of thin air, which has no substance IMO.

Now that's just false. 128GB is nothing big. If I can't pop in my trust 256GB SD card in a phone I'm not buying it.

It’s Apple, always going different way. That’s why they sell their stuff like hot cake as always, just give enough things to people instead a lot end up not fully utilised.
Anyway I use Sony, I think it’s true give too much storage sometimes not fully utilised, some people just upgrade to new phones even the storage still got plenty
