        2023 were already filled by the Xiaomi 13 Lite, although it will only be sold in limited quantities (not in many countries). I don't know why. Maybe Xiaomi is not confident with its specifications, especially the SoC which is a bit hot and the single speaker.

                                  They probably didn't want to rebrand a phone that was already 9 months old.

                                    As soon as I saw 8s Gen 3, I rushed to the comments to see the outcry. Nothing here. I guess people are satisfied with it. It's a powerful chipset and should hold its own maybe.
