Using sapphire on watches makes perfect sense because people very rarely drop their watches. In your lifetime, it's possible that you have never seen anyone drop his watch. On the other hand, dropping phones are much more common.

[deleted post]When all you do is harass me on a website/app about PHONES, it's time to re-think your life.

        "So why continue?"

Ceramic Shield was the first to raise the bar where level 6 scratches were hardly visible and level 7 were slightly more visible. It was only Galaxy S24 that raised that to 7 and 8, but it was months later.

I personally wish phone makers would use sapphire. Drops are not an issue for me, but dumb random scratches absolutely are. Nothing worse than taking phone out of pocket and out of nowhere, it has a deep scratch on the screen. This would never happen with sapphire. Not one watch that I have with sapphire has any scratch and they are over 10 years old mostly.

[deleted post]Yeah, lol, I basically say "F all ads and their BS", but somehow it makes me "Apple fan". By that logic Vlad must be Samsung fan, why don't you ridicule him for that? After all, being a ""fan"" of anything is just immature - well, kinda like this article.

Apple sure falling behind on innovations huh? I wonder if one day they will finally remove the big notch and maybe put a camera under display like ZTE did for the Redmagic devices. Another company made a device with a screen that works perfectly when the surface is wet, although that one is more of a software algorithm but still, innovative. I miss the times when phone manufacturers dared to make interesting new devices instead of a copy paste of the model from previous year.

                Apple fell of

Anyone remember a time when new phones come out and it was a surprise on what they be ? For iphones we get year worth of advertising what it will have to the length of the screws and how many rotation it needs to lock a part in the phone. So basically when you line up in front of there shops like some do weeks in advance or use to do then they probably have a feeling of buying a old phone already

I have a question: Will this affect the reflection on the Samsung S24 Ultra screen when I install the screen protector?🧐

                            Lol - this article

DarlingYext, 19 Mar 2024So journalists can't have their own personal opinions ... moreNews articles are not for opinions, and GSMArena has distinct types of articles for that purpose. And, if that was a "joke", then you should have understood, have you read my comment, that it wasn't amusing. Do we really have to care about what advertisers are BSing that much? Because that "opinion" tries to convey that we do (or else why even bother?), but actually we don't.

Nicolas F, 19 Mar 2024> "Wait, wasn't Samsung supposed to be the cop... moreSo journalists can't have their own personal opinions and also can't make jokes, or are you just unable to take a joke as one?

                                  > "Wait, wasn't Samsung supposed to be the copycat?"

Wait, wasn't GSMArena supposed to be tech journalism portal, and not a platform for unprofessional yapping? Or did Apple spit in Vlad's oatmeal personally?

Not to mention that any reasonable person knows:

                                  1) It doesn't effin' matter, who implemented any feature in a smartphone first or who is ""copycat"""; what matters is the actual parameters of the actual end products: usefulness, quality, price, etc.
                                  2) It doesn't effin' matter, what anyone's products' advertisement says. I mean, really, who in their right mind even watches (or cares about) ads anymore?
                                  3) It's not like Samsung ditched 3.5mm audio jack, bundled charger, memory card slot (in ""flagship"" line-ups, since S21)... Oh wait, it did. [I may not care about it personally, but other people do]
