They should limit apple, and allow Xiaomi and others to import their products over here, and lift huawei's bans, they would be way more fair.

While I do agree with some of the points and it is about time someone acted on this, I also strongly believe in a company's right to make it's own product ecosystem. The fact that an Apple watch doesn't work with other platforms or that iOS isn't made to be compatible with other watches or gadgets is entirely normal. It abides to "the principles of Apple" as they quoted. But when it comes to services like apps, payments, games, etc., I wholeheartedly agree that Apple basically is boxing everyone in to make sure thay don't leave. In other words I agree when a company makes their devices have exclusive features between it's gadgets, but don't agree with manipulating the app store, not allowing apps or games because they would disrupt their control, making developers abide to their absurd rules.

Competition is what's going to put pressure on Apple and nvidia. The fans are just fueling the fire.
Ps. I don't want the government to interfere with Apple or nvidia. It's an uphill battle and there will forever be pushback. It's like trying to build a perfect communist product. It'll never happen.

Sometimes *some* gov intervention is required to put certain forms of overpriced elitism in check.
That and big co.s shouldn't play their tax evasion game too long and hard. Push it, not even their own gov are gonna just sit back and take that piss forever.

As long as people keep buying apple dispite having issues, you can't touch this problem. Their vision is obviously not the user's vision. Stop giving them money. Simple as that. Or have two phones.

They did the same thing to Microsoft and nothing happened. This is just a show. The US government enabling and facilitating the monopoly and acting all offended by it.

The funny part of comments are those "Offended" apple fanboys calling excuses for something that was about time that happened.
Apple was locking in customers, not only that but was making sharing difficult between other platforms, i can't even easly pair bluetooth devices to an iphone compared to Android or even older ( Windows mobile and Windows phone or even symbian ones ).
Such an easy task as sending a file through NFC from iphone to another phone? No way locked in, you're forced to send emails, been there, not like a huge feature but once more it locks you in, wanna share a photo? Same stuff.
So yea, about time this happened and i hope they cope them hard so they finally free up some real space for proper integration with other systems, developers and such.

I don't like Apple, but some of this is ridiculous. The US basically just need to carbon copy what the EU has done.
Some of this is essentially blaming Apple for other smartphone makers poor decisions.
Part of the reason more young Americans are leaving android and going to iPhone is because android manufacturers have gone out of their way to copy Apples anti-features and basically turn themselves into imitation iPhones.
Well, if you're going to get an iPhone, may as well get an actual iPhone.

In their complaint, the US DoJ is blaming Apple for the failure of Amazon’s Fire Phone, MicroSoft, HTC, and LG for leaving the smartphone market, and that Apple blocked the growth of “super apps.”
Apple has done many terrible things, but to think they wield that much power is asinine.🤪
