The Problem with the S4 is their own S3, you can buy it now for less than £400 even for the 2gb LTE version if you look around, I know loads of people that have bought the S3 recently due to it price both simfree & contract.
The S3 is still a top end phone,at what is considered now a mid range price, 4G in the UK is both still expensive & only one carrier atm has it, it be another 2 years at least before all the other carriers have it up and running with same coverage as 3G as atm.
Also like the PC market the software ie Android isn't keeping up with the hardware, so games apps ect have no problem at all running on hardware that a year old, unlike the early days of Android, so this is another reason people don't see the need just yet to upgrade.
One other reason is the likes of HTC & Sony finally bringing decent handset to the market, so now there is more choice than just Samsung.
The S4 in my book while it will do well, will probably not see the same sucess as it did with the S3, they really need to get the thinking caps on for the S5 otherwise they start to see a big decline in sales if it just another slight update over the S4, first & foremost scrap the limited 16gb for 32Gb as standard also improve touchwiz make it lighter instead of adding more gimmicky features, that hardly any of us will use on a daily basis.

Guys plse dont take s4,, it having overheating complaints..Even after two sucessive firmware updates, samaung failed to rectify this error.Hope its a Hardware issue... Heat raises even upto 67 degree C...just imagine how much overheat it becomes...be alert

price dropped from 720 dollars launching to 530 dollars still any one questioning, tht this phone is having trouble in sales :)

Lol, samsung CEO is as insecure as their fanboys! Nokia, apple or even htc never respond back when other org. post bad news about them.

The problem is larger screens, faster processors and more applications all use more power and batteries do not last. Someone needs to focus on developing something that does not need constant charging and better batteries as a mobile phone with a flat battery is not much use to anyone.

ahah thier sales are crap compared to what they hyped it up to be.
why? cause they came out with the same ugly piece of junk look, and just added a larger screen with more processors, the same way samsung has been doing from day one and now no one is excited about it.
samsung is going to lose a HUGE chunk of thier customers when tizen, firefox OS, jolla, iOS 7, and WP 8.1 are released this year.

Samsung fan boys are always saying that iphones looks the same. But look at all the samsung or galxy products. Hahaha! They think that bigger is better. If you need a big screen. Buy a tablet. Which ipad is leading right now. Haha. You just cant compare apple to samsung. You want a premium product.? Buy apple products. It cost alot because of its value. Quality, durability,speed and reliability. Not because of other extra features that you cant even use everyday. Unlike iphone. All the features are really functioning very well. Anytime you need it.
