Even our own western security researchers clearly describe Intel ME and the AMD equivalent as fulfilling every requirement of a backdoor technology.
With US intelligence agencies having obtained all security-related keys from Microsoft etc. there is no limit to the number of malwares they can effortlessly inject into a Windows system that is downloading updates from Microsoft.
I am honestly surprised by China's naivety and lack of proactivity here, and that they have not made this move sooner.

Well if i have to bet which country will first give up it will be the US.
Their national loan is so big they will bancrupt before 2040 for sure.
Then home conflicts and mad, crazy, insane people will take controll over the corrupted and destroyed country. In other words win win for Chinese and many else players where US acted like untouched god or some for of divine entity.

They tried this way back when Windows 7 was out, and it failed.
Lets see them try again. Maybe they might finally get original ideas flowing instead of just stealing

Anonymous, 25 Mar 2024As long the island remains free, C and US can ban each other That island is a minuscule one, in which over 60% voted with parties who want reunification with China. In the best case scenario, and peaceful, island will reunite with the mainland. In the worst it will become as Ukraine, but without any real help.

I know China does have x86 CPU clones, but what are they going to use instead of Windows? Maybe Linux, but don't a lot of American technology companies contribute to that? I'm sure they'll figure something out...
