Crossing my fingers for the Pixel 9XL to be:
162 x 76 x 9mm
...those (rough) dimensions will mean compatibility with the Razer JungleCat. Making it a pocketable gaming device. All other controllers are far too large to carry without having to use a backpack. It basically becomes the successor to the Samsung Note 9 when that was a gaming powerhouse, and some sort of spiritual successor to the discontinued PS Vita Slim.

The Pixels were always supposed to fight back the iPhones through unique designs and innovations, but never to join them in generic-boredom land.

The standard Pixel 8 is currently discounted and can be purchased for $549.99 for the 8/128 model. Going back to the XL models could mean the elimination of the 'a' series although it could also mean that the 'a' series could become more affordable since the first Pixel 3a was priced at $399.

Pixel 8 with 6.16" screen is 150.5 × 70.8. So the dimensions mentioned in the article appear to be that of Pixel 9 pro (6.28") rather than Pixel 9 (6.03"). I am sure Pixel 9 would be just under 70mm width if the 6.03" screen size is correct (should be 69.5mm if bezel width is the same).
