Anonymous, 28 Mar 2024707 is xiaomi's. Yeah, that's why it will likely by the OV50H since that's an extremely popular and relatively cheap sensor for the specs it offers. If Xiaomi has exclusivity for the imx707 they can simply change the name. They did that for Xiaomi anyway as the imx707 is the basically the same sensor as the imx700 that Huawei and Honor were using previously. Just Huawei used it with an ryyb lens

They used the OV50a in the x40/edge 40 pro and the selfie and ultrawide I think also used omnivision. Seems unlikely they would opt for an older Samsung sensor as they have been using many omnivision ones in their recent phones

Should be 70-100mm zoom lens, not prime 72mm.

If the Pic is real then it's a nice camera upgrade. 1.2micro pixel sixe in the sensor so it most likely will be the OV50H or possibly the imx707

I doubt this one is just 72, eve... moreNormally a 72mm focal length in Full Frame equivalent requires a periscope if large sensors are used. Probably a half-inch sensor is used since Xiaomi managed to squeeze a real 75mm (not a 60mm like they did last year) on a 1/2.51" sensor without resorting to a periscope.
Or maybe they're going all in with a LYT-700/IMX890 1/1.56" sensor since it seems there's enough room for one.

Hope they actually fulfill that since Lenovo has had a pretty bad reputation with software update deliveries ever since they bought Motorola from Google back in 2015.

An interesting note as well is that on the camera island it says 2.4um. That means the Edge 50 Ultra will either come with a Omnivision OV50H or Samsung ISOCELL GN1/GNK main cam sensor. It's a 50-50 chance since the OV50H is becoming pretty popular and also Samsung supplied the ISOCELL HP1 for the Edge 30 Ultra's main cam.
