Why are you not talking about the fact that the A55's screen is much more dull? Like it was a cheaper LCD as opposed to an AMOLED.

Not a hard choice at all. I already have a A54 and I use T-Mobile US. The A55 does not support all the TMO bands, isn't officially sold here (no warranty) and barely has an incremental update so even if sold here still wouldn't upgrade. A54 for the win.

I am using Galaxy A54 and would remain stick with it but I'll definitely wait for midrange Galaxy foldable phone in A series.

Ryyb has zero benefit. It has huge impact on color accuracy. Should have used wrgb, it has less downsides.

Aierlan, 04 Apr 2024I think Huawei was the Chinese company that brought more in... moreAgree that Huawei is quite a pioneer in many tech. I remember how they pioneered night mode in photography before everyone else. Thus they got banned.
Also agree that the innovations come from the component makers, aka Samsung, Sony, Qualcomm, not from the OEM themselves who are simply putting stuff together and slab their brand on it. Most Chinese OEMs are simply relying on these innovations. And yes, we are at peak smartphone because even a 5 year old hardware is sufficient for the regular smartphone tasks.
The race thus is on software and AI. Google is leading pretty much by itself in terms of integrating AI into a mobile OS. Samsung is second that they got to release theirs in OneUI 6.1. Apple will be using Google Gemini so I don't count Apple in the AI race.
