Should you go with this year's Galaxy A55 or save some money and grab the A54 instead?

UFS2.1...lol.
If that's the case, the RAM is probably also LPDDR4X instead of LPDDR5.
Just like when A54 was released, information is confusing.

      As far as we can tell from the testing, both phones use UFS 2.1 storage chips.

        LOL. Aluminum frame is the excuse for the weight? S24+ has aluminum, glass, larger screen, and it's lighter than this brick. This ODM is an embarrassment.

          rizki1, 04 Apr 2024Not from Chinese brand and Nothing Phone, others are boring..I think Huawei was the Chinese company that brought more innovations like nightmode and their ryyb sensor (regardless of whether people liked it or not it was innovative) and periscopes and their own processors. Don't see too much innovation from the other Chinese companies apart from fast charging. Vivo had their gimbal stabilization for a while which was innovative i guess. Oppo i guess was also developing the periscope at the same time as Huawei so you could say they were Jointly responsible for that. Most of the innovations in smartphones though are coming from the component suppliers rather than the smartphone companies. For example the screen manufacturers in China are making great strides. When phone brands claim these wonderful screens though that is not their innovation it is that of the screen supplier. It's the same for most other innovations. It is the supplier. The most complex part of a smartphone is the processor itself and that requires the most technological. innovation and r&d investment. Generally though, I haven't really seen a launch from any company in the last couple of years where anything majorly new was introduced from a hardware front. It seems to have plateaud to some extent. Most of the room for innovation now is actually in the software, especially with the recent focus on Ai. It is probably in this areas that companies can focus to develop more innovative features

The GPU would be that big helping hand, but well, you need to first understand hardware to talk about it, a thing apparently 90% here, have no idea what that is.

                            Smartphones and mobile tech all together have become so boring and useless, it is almost cringy to read about them on this webside. Smartphones should be helping people on their day to day life, not dictate their day to day lofe, and after that even worse, to milk the cow releasing e-waste after e-waste after waste for 10 years straight with absolutely no innovation that could actually be more usefull whatsoever.

                                  I've been using the a54 since last year. I actually prefer it to my S22 for local gigs. It produces great pics, depending on the circumstances of course.

                                    Do the nothing phone 2a vs a35. Also, make nothing phone 2a video review AFTER updating the ui, as it fixed a ton of limitations
