Personally I think sony needs to put they're 1inch sensor from the rx100 premium compact cameras Into they're flagship phones . Won't need a triple camera set up with a premium sensor with optical zoom .

Wrong, the Ultrawide 12MP and Wide 48MP stays mostly the same. The telephoto 12MP is 85-170mm continuous optical zoom.

A rumor site has been saying nonsense for 2 months, even abolishing the Xperia name! GSM Arena at least doesn't report all the nonsense and the tests are excellent. I am looking forward to purchasing the 1 VI as I support the latest Japanese mobile brand in Europe. I hope the Pro 2 rumored this fall will be as real. I wanted to ask Xperia owners here if they would rather buy the Sony WF-1000XM5 headphones or like me Technics EAH-AZ80? THANKS.

iDroid, 03 Apr 2024I guess the sales figures of Xperia and the price speak for... moreThat leaves us with 0 phones doing 4K120 and weighing under 200 grams, in India, and a whole lot of achievement combos that these Asus and Sony have.
I'm of the firm belief that these phones need to come to India officially. People know what 4K is, what HDR is, what slow motion is. They're actually buying OLED TV's, now even reels are coming in slow-mo.
They even buy S2X Ultra series of Samsung and even big model iPhones.
I know flagships don't sell like hotcakes, which is why I recommend a healthy midrange portfolio too, to support sales, service center margins, etc.
However, I fear, neither Sony nor Asus will be able to market them well, but hey, at least we should be able to buy one officially, without worrying for the worst.

Added to the fact that Sony's brand name just does not have the pull that Apple or Samsung has in India, given that Sony's phones compete in the same price range. Which is why ASUS also does not sell the zenphone in India and only the ROG phone, since ROG has atleast some brand recognition here

K, 02 Apr 2024I had a Sony 5 II, I was hoping the Sony 5 V or VI would ge... moreVideo mode is better in 1V than in 15Pro. I know it because I tested it. Photos... I make daytime and night test of 1V, and photos are extremelly detail even on 77-85 inch TV. Crisp and ultra detail. Only telephoto could make better photos. Night mode and compute photo are on board 1V.

I can't, because of those lame OS and apps. I don't understand, sony has all for doing good software, seems they just don't want, or they outsource everything about phone to those chino designer using generic drivers and all low end software stuff ?

The Japanese version off Sony 1v has 18gb Ram , the rest off the world has 12gb Ram
