It has long be a generally held view within the photography library community that both Microsoft and Apple steal every photograph they can get using their operating systems to do so. Agencies are faced with having to use separate servers from those that act as their libraries for people's work, and when a buyer buys a photograph, or anything else, say a video or an NFT, that item alone is put temporarily online and only with a direct link to the buyer for the duration of the sale.
Phones and online computers are effectively owned and maintained by the operating systems they depend upon to function, but which as software languages for machines have no intrinsic value of their own, like English, Hindi or Japanese.
Their wealth derives from what they can own as you need their OS to function: why do you think they and other softwares demand your machine passwords at every chance they get whilst reassuring you that they do not have access to them? Of course they have access if you enter your passwords online, and to everything your machines hold. So as creatives, it is always best to keep one machine for online use and another for your photography and everything else that does not have a sim card in it, and that does not go online or use Google at all.
It is of course also true that recent OS updates to Android nuke your ability to record FM radio using your phones, if that phone was sold with that ability in its OS and you update, you may find that the radio has now become an online only FM radio you cannot record from any more.
I therefore keep my work phones as a photographer totally off the grid. Besides there is nothing worse that being interrupted whilst you are filming by someone calling you!

OEMs are also not required to introduce their own bloatware. Also the EU is controlled by women, did you expect them to do something different than what you are seeing?

Before arguing with me, this is my opinion only. I do not have proof for this.
They do not want apple's money, they want to crush apple they want apple to bend the knee. When DMA was applied apple was the company which has most problems with DMA and try to dodge it with shady tactics. Consider this is revenge from eu for apple bending DMA rules.
