          Amazon's Alexa (2014)
          Microsoft's Cortana (2014)
          Google's Tensor (TPUs, 2016)
          Google Assistant (2016)
          Apple's Siri (specifically the iOS 11 version, 2017)
          Google's Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT, 2019)
          Microsoft Turing Natural Language Generation (2020)

          Surely your grandmother used at least one of these before ChatGPT...

                    Gee, maybe it's because Google has spent the past ~5 years watering down their search engine into a useless pile of ad-infested crap. I just checked and they're still putting sponsored links into results for first aid tutorials. Pretty sad.

                            Already charging for normal search but not finding anything...

                              Traditional Google search algorithms are still providing the best results and I have seen no AI-augmented search that would even come close.

                                  I feel that Google has been making some bad decisions lately. It made me think if it has peaked as a company and is on its way down. It's a bloated company, Chat Gpt and Copilot integration will start to eat into its ad revenue as Bing generates search results.
                                  Google isn't that innovative and it's milking YouTube for ad revenue to bump up its revenue. Maybe it's a dinosaur on the way out?
