Google is working on enhanced Android desktop mode for Android 15

New options have been discovered in the latest Android 14 Beta build that makes desktop mode more functional.

Will it be supported by all mobile phones with android 15 or specifically with pixels, or samsungs... I mean what about stock androids like nothing os etc?... I ask this due to samsung keeping their "Samsung dex" for flagships only

    Hell yeah.

      I wonder. How many android phones or users will get to experience android 15? If android 14 will only get like 23.8% before android 15 is released. Then 76% to 77% of android users are likely to be missing a lot of new android features. So why should google pump a lot of features on the latest android version if the majority won't get to update to the latest version or won't likely to upgrade their android smartphone?

        Should collaborate with samsung for DEX mode

          Let me guess, it will only be available with the new pixels and others will have to upgrade.

            Yes!. I'm waiting for this feature. Can we just connect our phone to the monitor and use it with a mouse and keyboard? Or is it necessary to buy a chromebook or another device?

              Took them a while. Tfw the now dead LG mobile had a better desktop mode than that hidden one from google.
              And why does it need to be locked to a newer Android version again?

                  I would absolutely love to have this feature.

                    Stilll prefer the Stage Manager.
