Anonymous, 09 Apr 2024what do we need such microsd cards for? to connect them to ... moremicrosd cards exists to expand storage. for whose find 32 and 64gb isn't enough. speaking of samsung, they have started the sd card removal back in galaxy S6 series. they do put it back with the S7 to S20. until S21 was released, just an iphone 12 wannabe phone. no charger not even additional accessories and no sd card. it's like buying a repackaged used phone.

what do we need such microsd cards for? to connect them to pc you need an adapter. you always need to protect them somehow because they can break easily.
and the only advantage they have 7s that they can fit into phones but most phone companies stopped offering sd card slots (ironically samsung too).

[deleted post]rather have 23% improvement on sd card than storing my files off someone else's computer monthly for $50 🤭🤭 not everyone is wealthy enough to pay for cloud storage every month and have a 10 gigabit internet.

So far still happy with my two-year-old Kingston 512GB microSD card for my LG V50. But with somewhere between 20% to 25% space remaining, I might consider upgrading for a bigger storage capacity. If that's the case, I may as well go for ones with faster transfer speed.

Wish someone other than the big 4 made flash memory. Way too little competition and manufacturing shortages.

Is there a reason why sd card not getting faster? Write speed is always capped at 90mb/s. Not even getting close to hdd level. Is it due to thermal issue?
