Joseph , 10 Apr 2024Sumsung s20 5G don't esim whyIt has in UK version, with 20 eSIM functions. But, limited to just use (active) ONE at a time. I am using this phone with eSIM for last 3 years. Hongkong version though doesn't have eSIMs, not even on Galaxy S24 series.

Buy an €1,800 Android tablet that'll be a paperweight in five years.... That is a bit embarrassing, I think. Computer manufacturers can offer longer _warranty_ services than that on devices costing considerably less.

808Keys, 10 Apr 2024Do security patches really matter?I pay with my phone and it's my digital ID for the government so I'd say yes security patches matter.

I got to say, some brands have hw good enough to last for years, even comparing to latest flagships in good lighting conditions.
Some updates are worthy too, like mine s21u improved significantly, feels like magic.
            (Well, raws aside.)

I just wish the galaxy tablets had unlockable bootloaders or were given a much longer software support, especially since samsung has an 18 month release cycle for tablets instead of 12 months.

808Keys, 10 Apr 2024Do security patches really matter?I lock my door at night, even though nobody has ever attempted to enter my home. Security patches really don't have a downside, so I do care about them. An extra safeguard is always nice when you entrust your phone with important data.

The implementations in phones these days barely shows any difference compared to those unless you count some very specific situations. On the PC side is where the AI stuff actually helps significantly.

i still use S20 5g because there is no better phone on that size or smaller.

808Keys, 10 Apr 2024Do security patches really matter?Well i have Avast Antivirus in my phone and have zero issues with my device. had zero issues with ym previous devices with avast antivirus installed in them.
Running same avast antivirus on my laptop since a very long time and had never issues with my laptop.
By the way people who dont use their phone as credit card should have zero issues with security.

I though the s20 was a complete scam. when I purchased the S20 with the hype of the camera. it was no way any good in real like situations compared to how the protrayed it on stage with all the unnatural lighting on stage.

So Samsung does something positive and extends the lifespan of these phones by continuing software support and you are still moaning and complaining in the comments?!

Maybe because they try to repair their expert raw app's problem with raws being raws...
