Anonymous, 11 Apr 2024Google photos is worst photo app I have had. Agreed. The app is nag central. Every single time I open the app, it nags me to update it (as if it isn't handled by the Play store automatically), and nags me to back up all my photos to Google drive. I clicked no, and that just led me to another nag screen. How all this excessive nagging to use only Google's drive is not illegal I'm not sure.

I've tried to remove a relatively small object (less than 3% of the entire image) from a photo using this AI and oh boy it did the job horribly. You could clearly tell where the removed object was. It was an eye sore. Sorry, this is far from ready and this is not real AI at all.

Almost can't wait for Sony to release Xperia 1VI with it's cryptographically signed proof of authentic non-edited images.
What you See is What AI rendered has become reality and available to every Joe Shmoe.

So when you see a photographer take multiple "burst" shot of a model etc, position 1 new pose position 2 they pick the best shot from each position 1,2 etc
Now we're blurring the lines
@ Maximate ( another Pun intended 😂)
Just recently a member of the Royal family submitted A.I altered images to the newspaper
The image IMO is false and rightfully rejected. If they had taken multiple images and selected the best one then that would have been a true image even though the others have been discarded
I have taken a few burst shots some at the beginning and end were pretty dire, from bad to god to bad in under a second.
Google should be more responsible in advising why A.I may not be the best solution as it do not capture all aspects in a real event

Huh..only 10 saves for a month. Recently google made some bad things with their marketing team. First one is circle to search then quick share both options only available for samsung phones which is very disappointed.

If you need THIS much AI to fix a photo, it's either YOU doing something or the cameras in your phone are simply dog water.

Meanwhile Google announced that OnePlus and OPPO phones would get Gemini-powered features like news summaries, audio recorder summaries, an “AI toolbox,” and more. The Chinese brands also hinted at an AI feature to generate social media content, ostensibly related to text or image generation.
The partnership doesn’t stop here, as OPPO and OnePlus also announced that Google’s most powerful AI model, Gemini 1.0 Ultra, will be coming to their phones later in 2024. In fact, the two companies say they “aim to be the first to launch features based on the Gemini Ultra platform on smartphones later this year.” Nice!

Still useless unless you buy the Google beta phone! Everyone else needs to pay highly for photos storage.

They should make all the AI editing tools free. They're already making plenty money with the selling of collected data.

Too much AI in photo processing, it's better to buy a camera.
P.s. about this feature, I prefer to see on photos what I see in real life.
